The production of the latest season of “Bungo Stray Dogs” has been confirmed with the release of the teaser visual. Also, the commemoration comments from the staff and the cast, including Uemura Yuuto and Miyano Mamoru have been released.
“Bungo Stray Dogs” is based on the super-ability battle action manga featuring the characters with the name of the actual literary master, such as Nakajima Atsushi, Dazai Osamu, and Akutagawa Ryuunosuke. The manga by Asagiri Kafka (Story) and Harukawa Sango (Art) started the serialization in 2013 on “Young Ace”, and the cumulative circulation of the affiliated publication has exceeded 8.5 million copies.
The TV anime was broadcast in 2 cours in 2016 and the movie “Bungo Stray Dogs: Dead Apple” was premiere in March 2018, in more than 170 nationwide theatres, the season 3 of the TV anime was broadcast in April 2019, and the spin-off “Bungo Stray Dogs Wan!” was broadcast in January 2021.
The production of the latest season was announced during the event “Bungo Stray Dogs Mayoi Inutachi no Utage So no San” that was held on November 7.
The information on the main staff has been revealed: the director is Igarashi Takuya, series composition and script are by Enokido Youji, character designer and key animation director are Arai Nobuhiro, and animation production is by Bones. The familiar staff that has worked on the anime since the first season will continue their roles in the latest season of “Bungo Stray Dogs” as well.
Along with the announcement of the latest season, the teaser visual by the character designer and key animation director, Arai Nobuhiro has been revealed.
