From the TV anime “Orient”, the collaboration visual of “‘Orient’ and ‘Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic'”, drawn by the original creator Otaka Shinobu, has been released as part of the Halloween special project.

“Orient” is a Sengoku battle fantasy written by Otaka Shinobu, which is currently serialized in “Bessatsu Shonen Magazine”. 150 years have passed since the “demon gods”, which suddenly appeared in Japan during Sengoku Period, dominated the world. The story follows Musashi and Kojiro, who aspire to be bushis (samurai), dreaming of “forming ‘the most powerful bushi-dan (group of samurai)'” and defeating the demons during the peiod where only the “bushi-dans” are rebelling against the demons’ power.

On the other hand, “Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic”, a representative work of Otaka Shinobu, started serialization in “Weekly Shonen Sunday” from 2009, and the TV anime was broadcast in 2012. Aladdin is traveling around the mysterious continent, where “Dungeon”, the mysterious ruins that are said to hold hidden treasure, appear. The adventure story follows him attempting to conquer the “Dungeon” to obtain the treasure with Alibaba, who he encounters during the journey.

As the Halloween special project, Otaka has drawn the characters from both works for the released visual. The visual is filled with cuteness, featuring the main characters from “Orient”, Musashi, Kojiro, Tsugumi, switching their costumes with the main characters from “Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic”, Aladdin, Alibaba, and Morgiana.

Moreover, the TV anime “Orient” official Twitter is distributing an original smartphone wallpaper, featuring the visual, for everyone. In association with Japanese wordplay “Musashi (634)”, a campaign, where 10 lottery winners will be given some gorgeous item once a certain post has reached 6340RT, is available.

The TV anime “Orient” will be broadcast on TV Tokyo, AT-X, etc. from January 2022.
