The TV anime “Dance Dance Danseur” will be broadcast in 2022. The teaser visual and logo depicting the main character, Murao Junpei, have been released. Furthermore, it will be directed by Sakai Munehisa, known for “Zombie Land Saga”, and produced by MAPPA known for “Jujutsu Kaisen” and “Yuri! on ICE.”

“Dance Dance Danseur” is a coming-of-age ballet story based on George Asakura’s manga serialized in “Weekly Big Comic Spirits.” The story follows Murao Junpei, a second-year junior high school student who was fascinated by ballet as a child but gave up on it after the death of his father, saying “he had to become a man.” However, after meeting Godai Miyako, a beautiful transfer student, he begins his journey to becoming a full-fledged ballet dancer. This is the first TV anime adaptation of George Asakura’s work.

The teaser visual that was unveiled along with the broadcast in 2022 depicts Junpei’s dive into the beautiful but demanding world of classical ballet.

The main staff was also announced: Director Sakai Munehisa known for “Zombie Land Saga” and “ONE PIECE FILM STRONG WORLD,” animation production by MAPPA known for “Jujutsu Kaisen” and “Yuri! on ICE,” series composition by Narita Yoshimi known for the “Pretty Cure” series and “Dakaichi: I’m Being Harassed By the Sexiest Man of the Year,” and the character designs by Hasegawa Hitomi, who worked as the animation director for “Kimi ni Todoke”, “Attack on Titan”, and “Blood Blockade Battlefront.”

In addition, the official website and Twitter account for the TV anime “Dance Dance Danseur” have been opened, and look forward to more news as the anime is set to start airing in 2022.
