The first official exhibition of the anime “ARIA” series, titled “ARIA The MEMORIA ~Neo-Venezia International Movie Fest~” has started on August 26, 2021, at Marui City, Yokohama. Ahead of the starting date, director Satou Junichi, who handled all the historical “ARIA” series, had visited the venue and said “I was surprised as it was more magnificent than I thought!” as he gave his stamp of approval.

The anime “ARIA” series is based on the futuristic soothing work by Amano Kozue. The TV anime season 1 “ARIA The ANIMATION” was broadcast in 2005, TV anime season 2 “ARIA The NATURAL” was broadcast in 2006, the OVA “ARIA The OVA ~ARIETTA~” was broadcast in 2007, the TV anime season 3 “ARIA The ORIGINATION” was broadcast in 2008, the original new animation “ARIA The AVVENIRE” was broadcast in 2015 while the original new movie “ARIA The CREPUSCOLO” was released in spring 2021 as a commemoration on the 15th broadcast year of the TV anime.
Also, the 15th broadcast commemoration work and the final chapter of “Blue Curtain Call”, called “ARIA The CREPUSCOLO” will be released in December 3, 2021.

At the entrance of this exhibition, the visitors will be welcomed by the special event’s key visual, where it featured the original illustration of the main characters in fancy clothes.
The first thing that comes in sight after entering the venue is the original manga corner featuring the beautiful illustration drawn by Amano. This is a corner, where the visitors can look back at the history of “ARIA” as the impressive episodes and famous scenes of the original manga are displayed.

After the original manga corner, the next is the exhibition of the TV series. Various precious materials, such as the production memo for this anime by director Satou that his enthusiasm can be felt, the scripts that were used during the audition, the famous lines & scene, the actual recording script, and the original arts of the DVD’s jacket, can be seen, and it will surely hype up the fans.

The next exhibition featured chapter one “ARIA The AVVENIRE” and chapter 2 “ARIA The CREPUSCOLO” from the complete original animation “Blue Curtain Call”
The materials that can be seen here are the cover art of the pamphlet, background of the original work, the character setting art, artboard, and the draft of the main visual by the character designer and art director, Itou Youko.

Also, the first miniature building of “ARIA Company” was faithfully recreated based on the materials of the anime.
The comments from director Satou, who enjoyed this exhibition prior to the start date, were “I was surprised as it was more magnificent than I thought! I am filled with nostalgic as the history of ARIA was exhibited as it is”, and he even gave his stamp of approval.

“ARIA The MEMORIA ~Neo-Venezia International Movie Fest~” is being held from August 26 to September 12, 2021, at Marui City, Yokohama. The entrance fee is 1,100 JPY (tax included), and a coaster (9 types) will be given randomly as the entrance novelty.
