This work is based on a light novel that was serialized on “Shosetsuka ni Narou,” and was ranked number one in the high fantasy category on the site in 2018 and was published in book form by Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko. The story depicts the slow life of Red, a hero who is kicked out of a heroic party after his fellow wise men tell him that he is no longer strong enough to fight.
Regarding the postponement of the broadcast, the production committee announced, “Due to various reasons, we have decided to postpone the broadcast. It is currently scheduled to start airing in October 2021. The key visual, new characters and cast were also revealed. The contrast between the bright and peaceful daily life of Red, Rit, and the people of Zoldan and the sorrowful Ruty is impressive.
The new characters living in the frontier town of Zoldan are played by Amasaki Kohei, Yamanaka Masahiro, Serizawa Yuu, Tokui Sora, and Mishina Takeru. Albert will be played by Amasaki Kohei, Gonz by Yamanaka Mahiro, Tanta by Serizawa Yuu, Nao by Tokui Sora, and Mido by Mishina Takeru.
