Eight new cast members for “Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash” (to be released on May 7, 2021) have been announced.
“Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash” is based on the same title novel by director Tomino Yoshiyuki. It will be made into a theatrical trilogy as the 2nd part of the “UC NexT 0100” project in which the next 100 years of the Universal Century will be woven.
Eight voice actors were announced as additional cast members.
Tsuda Kenjirou as Gahman Nobil, Ishikawa Yui as Emerelda Zubin, Ochiai Fukushi as Raymond Cain, Takeuchi Shunsuke as Iram Masam, Mihesher Hence as Matsukoka Misato, Sawashiro Chiharu as Mitsuda Kenji, Tanezaki Atsumi as Mace Flower, and Yamadera Kouichi as Hundley Yeoksam.
“Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash” will be released on May 7.
The trailer played exclusively at the Shochiku Multiplex Theatres, is currently available online.

A veteran pilot of Mafty, who has fought in many wars. He has a significant scar on his face. The call sign of his machine is Messer 2.

It’s such an honor to be a part of “Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash”. I was quite tense during the recording.
Mixing the ideas and requests from the director and audio director with my ideas to establish the character and scenes was very enjoyable. I myself am looking forward to seeing the completed film. A dependable Mafty member, who was sent to Davao to pick up Hathaway. She has a past of not being able to become a Mobile Suit pilot due to her lack of skill.

I happened to read some news about “Hathaway’s Flash” before, and at the time, I never thought I’d be part of it, so I was really surprised when I was chosen as a cast member. At the same time, I was flattered to be able to participate in this long-loved title. She’s a different type of character than what I’m used to, so I did my best to portray her, hoping to find a new side of myself.

The deputy captain/chief of operations of Mafty’s support vessel Valiant. He understands Hathaway’s circumstances and supports him.

It’s such an honor to participate as a voice actor in this title of which many fans have longed for a visualization.
My friends who love Gundam have been telling me about the fascination of this title for a long time. We have worked hard with the staff members to faithfully recreate the original work into an anime.
I hope it will turn out to meet the expectations of the fans.
Matsuoka Misato as Mihesher Hence
Mafty’s intelligence agent/operator. A hard-working, diligent girl who devotes herself to Mafy’s operations. She meets Hathaway in Davao.

I’m Matsuoka Misato and I’ll be playing Mihesher Hence!
I never thought I’d be in the Gundam series, which I used to watch with my family as a child. I remember my hands shaking from joy and nervousness. But I can’t be trembling forever, so I picked myself up and worked hard on understanding how Mihesher would take on her job, and did my best to portray her with the same attitude!
I can’t wait to see that intense scene on the big screen. I’m still a bit nervous, but I hope to share that excitement and the afterglow with everyone. Please enjoy it!
Sawashiro Chiharu as Mitsuda Kenji
An intelligence agent who is not so passionate about Mafty’s operations, but is a talented driver. He meets Hathaway in Davao.

There’s nothing more honorable than being chosen as a Gundam voice actor.
I was so flattered!
After getting the offer, I looked into past Gundam works, and I realized how deep the stories are and that it’s a series loved by so many fans. It made me feel the responsibility of playing this role. The film is definitely worth watching for a second and third time. I myself can’t wait for the release. I hope you’ll enjoy it!
Tanezaki Atsumi as Mace Flower
A flight attendant of the Haunzen 356 with beautiful blonde hair and a beauty mark by her mouth. When Kenneth hit on her she responded in a sensible manner.

“Gundam” is a series that everyone knows, even if you’re not familiar with anime. I couldn’t wrap my head around the fact that I was offered a role in such a big title. I was like, “Gundam?”, “A movie?”, “What? I’m in it?”. I was tremendously nervous on the day of the recording but the detailed directions really helped me. I realized how carefully the series has been created for so long.
You won’t be able to take your eyes off for one moment. Please look forward to the release!
Yamadera Kouichi as Hundley Yeoksam
The head of the Criminal Police Organization leading “Man Hunter”. He got on the Haunzen 356 flight to Earth to take part in the Adelaide Meeting.

It was my 3rd year as a voice actor when I was in “Char’s Counter Attack” as Gyunei Guss.
On the first day of the recording, Char’s voice actor, Ikeda Shuuichi-san, took me out for a drink, since I was tensed up and didn’t know anything about the world of Gundam.
He taught me many things about the world of Gundam and voice actors. I remember being so nervous that I didn’t get drunk at all, no matter how many drinks I had.
It’s been 33 years, and I’m happy about being able to participate in “Hathaway’s Flash”, which depicts the story after “Char’s Counter Attack”.
Hundley is the head of the Criminal Police Organization, something completely different from Gyunei. Please look forward to how he will interact with Hathaway and Kenneth in the story.
