The stage greetings of “Looking for Magical DoReMi”, a film to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the anime “Magical DoReMi”, was held on November 14.
At theater 9 of Shinjuku Wald 9, the voice actresses full of “Magical DoReMi” love appeared: Morikawa Aoi, Matsui Rena, Momota Kanako, and Miura Shohei. In addition to them, the regular voice actors in the “Magical DoReMi” TV series also appeared, who are Chiba Chiemi, Akiya Tomoko, Matsuoka Yuki, Shishido Rumi, Miyahara Nami, Ishige Sawa, and the director Sato Junichi.

Morikawa spoke about her feelings about the film finally released, ‘The release was initially planned in May. Now I am receiving thoughts, which makes me truly realize that the film has finally been released.’
During the greeting at the beginning, Matsui was excited to hear the spell from “Magical DoReMi” cast in person, including Chiba, saying ‘I am really excited to hear their spell in person! More than the greeting itself. Yesterday, it was being a topic on SNS, and I truly felt that so many people are eagerly waiting for Doremi-chan.’

Momota expressed her gratitude for the fans, saying ‘A lot of people have already told me how excited they are. The members of Momoclo are asking me for the tickets.(laugh) I am really glad to be here today.’
Miura spoke about the attractions of the film, saying ‘I am so glad that it has finally been released. It’s wonderful that the heroines, who have the same interest Magical DoReMi, move forward. Please talk about the attractions to your friends and family.’

The director Sato, who started up “Magical DoReMi” and directed the 1st season spoke to “DoReMi” fans, saying ‘I didn’t expect that so many fans are still waiting for us after 20 years. At first I was creating a film on the assumption that DoReMi and others would be back, and later when I realized, I was thinking they were always there. In fact, the fans were creating it, and they let me be a part of it. Now I truly feel that.’

To the question “What does ‘Magical DoReMi’ mean to you?”, Chiba replied “connection”, saying ‘A lot of staff have been involved in “Magical DoReMi” and “Looking for Magical DoReMi”. I sincerely felt we are still connected after a long time, to see the staff that worked on the TV series and previous film. It’s also wonderful that you are here at this stage greeting even though you were a little kid 20 years ago. I am truly grateful that I have met so many people through this work. Thanks to your help for quite a while, I can show you the latest work today.’

To be asked for a message to audience, Momota said, ‘When I watched the film, I was reassured that Doremi-chan and others have been by my side. If I’m losing my own way, I will watch “Magical DoReMi” and “Looking for Magical DoReMi” again to move forward.’

Matsui replied with tears in her eyes, ‘When I read the script, When I was at the recording, When I watched the finished work, I truly realized that I have been waiting for DoReMi-chan. She has been my emotional support. This film will embrace you with the feeling of “love”. Please come to see DoReMi-chan.’ Morikawa said, ‘Even though as we grow up, we face the reality, but I felt as if DoReMi-chan and others told me to live as I like. I feel like this film encourages me. It will cast a spell on you, and give more smiles and happiness. I hope you will like it.’

Morikawa Aoi ‘What taught me the fun in life’
I really like anime, and ‘Magical DoReMi’ is the first one that made me realize the attraction. It taught me the fun in life.

Matsui Rena ‘Common language’
The heroines in the film and you are connected with a common language ‘Magical DoReMi’. It is like we cannot help singing when the theme song Carnival is playing. This work has such an attraction.

Momota Kanako ‘Pleasure to meet’
It’s the first anime that I became absorbed in. I got to know idle as an occupation when I saw Onpu-chan, so it has taught me a lot of pleasure to meet new things. I also could do a lot of things for the first time through this work, so I chose this phrase.

Miura Shohei ‘Memory’
As we grow up, we gradually forget what we used to feel in childhood. You may be struggling in society, but I would like you to watch it and remember those days. It will bring back genuine, sparkly memories.

Ishige Sawa ‘What gives me Happy and Lucky’
DoReMi’s spell ‘ I Wish Happiness and Lucky to Everyone’ is really brilliant. It stands for her warm world view and heart. I also feel happy when I am thinking about her, so I am lucky to have met her.

Miyahara Nami ‘Home sweet home’
As we grow up, we face a lot of difficulties, but the atmosphere around us is like home sweet home whenever I come back. We are also close outside of work and sometimes see each other. I don’t feel after a long while, and we are just like sisters.

Shishido Rumi ‘signpost’
When I am thinking negatively, I always think twice not to make Onpu-chan sad. I feel she always protects me. It illuminates my future, and provide opportunities to see a lot of people, which is like a signpost.

Matsuoka Yuki ‘Path of life’
It was my turning point, and it helped me to find a path. I have always been involved in DoRemi universe in many ways, such as CD drama, and Aiko has always been by my side. It shows me the way to go.

Akiya Tomoko ‘Treasure’
I have met a lot of cast and staff through the work. Through playing Hazuki-chan, my heart was filled with happiness. This work has reached 20th-anniversary, and is becoming a bigger part of my life as a treasure.
