The latest volume 22 of the manga “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” by Gotouge Koyoharu, which will be released on Oct. 2, has already seen its first 3.7 million copies being sold, including the bundled edition released on the same day. With this news, the total number of manga copies published from volume 1 to 22, including the online version, has exceeded 100 million.

Among the manga published on “Weekly Shonen Jump”, those that have sold over 100 million copies in total are “Kochira Katsushika‑ku Kameari Kouen‑mae Hashutsujo” by Akimoto Osamu, “DRAGON BALL” by Toriyama Akira , “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure” series by Araki Hirohiko, “SLAM DUNK” by Inoue Takehiko, “ONE PIECE” by Oda Eiichirou, “Naruto” by Kishimoto Masashi, and “Bleach” by Kubo Tite. “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” will be added to the list before the 23rd and final volume, which will be released on Dec. 4.

Also, to celebrate the release of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train on Oct. 16, “Weekly Shonen Jump” will have three consecutive special issues of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba”, starting with issue 44, which will be released on Oct. 5.

The issue 44 will feature a new 19-page one-shot by Gotouge on “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba”. It is about the first mission of the Demon Slayer Corps with Rengoku Kyoujurou, and it will also be included in “Demon Slayer: Rengoku Vol. 0”, which is being given out as a bonus for filmgoers to the movie version.

The following issues 45 and 46 include a side story one-shot focused on Rengoku Kyoujurou by Hirano Ryouji, who also wrote a side story on Tomioka Giyuu under the supervision of Gotouge. In addition, limited items from the same magazine will be available.
With the release of the upcoming movie, great attention is now given to “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba”.
