Changes in the broadcast schedule on Fuji TV's late-night anime channel “Noitamina” have been announced. In particular, the starting date of “The Millionaire Detective Balance: Unlimited” and the anime series that are scheduled to be broadcast in Oct. 2020 and Jan. 2021 have been revealed.
Due to the spread of the new coronavirus, “Noitamina” had announced that “The Millionaire Detective Balance: Unlimited” would be suspended, and “Tsuritama” would be rebroadcast.
After a change in the program schedule, “The Millionaire Detective Balance: Unlimited” will begin airing in Jul. 16, 2020, starting with the 1st episode. Also, the rerun of “The Promised Neverland Season 1” will be broadcast in Oct. of the same year, and “The Promised Neverland Season 2” broadcast has been postponed in Jan. 2021.
Fuji TV reported, “We will continue to move forward with the production carefully, taking into account the safety of all those involved in it. As a result, there may be some changes in the schedule that will be announced every time”.
In place of the TV Anime "The Millionaire Detective Balance: UNLIMITED", a re-broadcast of "Tsuritama" will commence from Apr. 23, 2020 onward.
"Tsuritama" was originally aired under Fuji TV's "Noitamina" program from Apr. 2012 onward. The same broadcast 8 years ago will be on air again.
The story takes place in Shonan, Enoshima, in Kanagawa Prefecture. The tale follows Sanada Yuki, a socially awkward high school student who has never had any friends before. He meets Haru, self proclaimed alien who comes to Earth to fish, his ill humored classmate, Usami Natsuki, and Akira, an Indian who is always with his duck "Tapioca". He gets wrapped up in a series of mysterious happenings, all the while enjoying fishing. It is an SF (Seishun "Youth" Fishing - a play on words) story.
The cast behind the socially awkward, glasses, alien and Indian are...
Oosaka Ryota plays the main character Yuki and it is his first TV Anime performance debut worth commemorating. In addition, the extravagant cast also includes Iriya Miyu as the highly energetic alien, Haru, Uchiyama Kouki as the always irritated Natsuki and lastly Sugita Tomokazu as the Indian and the duck.
The staff behind the story with "a unique atmosphere" are...
Director Nakamura Kenji whose repertoire includes "Mononoke", "Flying Trapeze", and "Gatchaman Crowds". Character Designer Uki Atsuya who has worked on the character designs of the "Digimon Adventures tri." series and directed the movie "Cencoroll". The assortment of characters such as the alien, Indian and duck that appear in the work are all drawn in a cute and pop style.
The people behind the music that brings colorful emotions to "Tsuritama"'s world are...
The popular rock band "Fujifabric" who are in charge of the OP theme song "Tsurezure Monochrome". The lyrics and composition were based on the designs and script and includes little Easter eggs such as important characters' names: "Yuki", "Haru", "Natsu" and "Aki" within the song itself.
The ED theme is a cover of Spitz's "Soramo Toberuhazu" by a female vocal unit, Sayonara Ponytail. It is an airy tune that matches the world of the animation.
It has been announced that the OP theme of TV anime "The Millionaire Detective Balance: Unlimited", which is being broadcast on Fuji TV's "Noitamina" and other channels, is the new song "NAVIGATOR" by SixTONES, a boy band that made their CD debut on Jan. 2020. "NAVIGATOR" is an up-tempo hard rock dance song that will be released as the 2nd single on Jun. 3.
Speaking of the OP song of this work, the credits were not released during the airing of the 1st episode, so it became a big topic of conversation among viewers who had been commenting, "Who is this band?!". SixTONES fans who happened to watch the anime said, "Is it SixTONES's new song??" becoming a guessing contest.
In addition, there was a "joke" hinting at "SixTONES" on an advance notice banner of the anime that was posted on SNS since before the broadcast. Six colored "×" (red, pink, black, yellow, green, and blue), which coincide with the number of SixTONES members and their respective colors, were shown on the banner. Some of the SixTONES fans who noticed that started guessing their favorite band.
Following the announcement, comments from the SixTONES member Jesse and the producer of this work, Matsuo Taku, were received.
The OP theme "NAVIGATOR" of "The Millionaire Detective Balance: Unlimited" will be released on Jun. 3. The first-run edition and limited edition will be priced at 1,600JPY (tax excluded), while the regular edition will be priced at 1,000 JPY (tax excluded).

At first, I felt a lot of pressure by thinking, "Can we really do this?". But then, we were able to make the song through our self-confidence, which is the SixTONES's true strength. At the time of our CD debut, we were told that we didn't look like idols, so we hope now that our music can play an important role in the world of this cool anime, "The Millionaire Detective Balance: Unlimited". I'd also be happy if more people get interested in SixTONES!
[Fuji TV, Producer Matsuo Taku]
We are so delighted that the members of SixTONES, the "strongest artists of our time", have added such a brilliant and powerful coloring to this work, which is based on Tsutsui Yasutaka's original novel, "Fugou Keiji" released 45 years ago, and now rebooted in 2020 as "the newest world".
I feel that SixTONES and the main character, Kanbe Daisuke, have a lot in common: coolness, generosity, and infinite charm.
We received a very powerful piece of music from SixTONES that I was sure people would enjoy it even without any information about the band, so we took the unusual approach of not revealing the artist's info for the first episode.
With fans around the world getting excited about the "unknown opening theme", we are looking forward to revealing it as "NAVIGATOR". Please enjoy the song that will also be appearing in the 2nd episode tonight!

Additional cast members for the live-action movie “The Promised Neverland” (to be released on Dec. 18, 2020) have been announced. Kitagawa Keiko will be playing the role of Isabella, the beloved mom of the orphans that reside in “Grace Field House”, while Watanabe Naomi will be playing the role of Krone, Isabella’s subordinate sister that will attempt to usurp the position of “Mama” from Isabella.
“The Promised Neverland” is originally a “unique” prison escape-suspense manga serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump” (Shueisha) from Aug. 2016, which TV Anime’s 1st season also became a hot topic. The 17 volumes of the manga have exceeded 18 million printed copies worldwide, and the broadcast of season 2 for the anime series has been decided as well.
“Grace-Field House” is an orphanage similar to a paradise filled with happiness. The orphans who live there while being under the care of Isabella, who is called “Mama” by everyone for her position as a mother figure, were waiting impatiently to reach the age to be adopted by foster parents.
Emma, Ray, and Norman also believed that they would experience even happier days as soon as their time to leave the orphanage came.. Until “that day” arrived...
Emma and Norman followed Conny, who was leaving the orphanage with a smile after she learned she'd get adopted, after realizing that Conny had accidentally forgotten the precious plush she carried around with her everywhere in the dining room. To give it back to her, they headed to the “gate”, a place Mama taught them to never approach. There, they found Conny killed in a horrible way, realizing that she was sold as meat to someone else. For that reason, “the orphanage that everyone believed was a paradise” was actually “a farm that raises edible children to be given to demons”, and their beloved Mama was “the caretaker in charge of raising the most eatable children”.
The cast members of the live-action movie include; Hamabe Minami as Emma, the protagonist with an innocent and very straightforward personality, Kairi Jyo as Ray, a realist and cool boy, and Itagaki Rihito as Norman, a rational leader. In addition, the two caretakers added to the cast, who hold the key to the story, have been announced.
Kitagawa will be playing the role of Isabella, the beloved mom of the children of Grace Field House, the orphanage where Emma and the others live. She is considered the best-of-the-best among all the Mama that raise highly intelligent children like Emma. While Watanabe Naomi will be playing Krone, Isabella’s subordinate sister that will attempt to usurp the position of “Mama” from Isabella.
The live-action movie “The Promised Neverland” will be released in Dec. 18, 2020.

[Role of Isabella: Kitagawa Keiko]
I started reading the manga after I received the offer. It was so interesting that I got drawn into the manga's world. I was particularly attracted to Isabella, who is very close to my age. This is the first manga that I’ve read in one go with so much excitement! However, I couldn't decide easily whether or not to accept the role, and I ended up deciding at the very last moment. There are so many fans of the original work that, when I received the offer, I thought that it might be hard for me.
Any actor knows the difficulty of adopting a manga into a movie or anime series. For that reason, I thought that it might be impossible to reproduce the Neverland’s world through a live-action without losing some of the quality of the original manga. Eventually, I decided to accept the offer after knowing that I was going to work with director Hirakawa once again, and that none of the original setting, including Isabella's age and the other characters had been subject to change. Please enjoy our Isabella and Krone!
[Role of Krone: Watanabe Naomi]
I’m Watanabe Naomi that will play the role of Krone. To be able to express properly the emotional and sensitive Krone, I put into it all my efforts while consulting with the director. The little children on the set were pulled towards the fierce Krone... (laugh)
I love the original work. The pictures are so cute, and the story is so full of shocking developments that you get drawn into it very quickly. I want to fulfill my role while standing in the way of the children with Isabella, played by Kitagawa. Please stay tuned for it!
[Role of Emma: Hamabe Minami]
While reading the original manga, I was horrified by Isabella and Krone and cried many times. When I heard that Kitagawa and Watanabe had been chosen for the roles, I thought that they were perfect to play Emma, Ray, and Norman's enemies. The acting of Kitagawa was always so exciting and thrilling, while during Watanabe's scenes I had some difficulty holding back my laugh. Both as Emma and as a reader of the manga, I’m glad they were chosen for the part, they suit the role perfectly. I can't wait to see the complete movie!
[Original author: Shirai Kaiu]
The best Isabella and Krone! I'm really happy. After seeing Kitagawa-san on the movie set, I think she perfectly suits Mama Isabella. She is so beautiful! So cool! And so dignified! I want you to see her! (See photos). And isn't the scene where Isabella grabs Krone’s cheeks great?? Isn't it the best?? Not to mention the gap between her gentle smile and her freezing cold gaze! When I saw Conny's scene, her words made me tremble.
I also want everyone to tremble while watching mom Isabella on the screen! I couldn't meet Watanabe-san, but the other day Sugita-san, the editor in charge of the movie who had checked the scenes during the production said, “Krone is perfect! Watanabe-san is perfect...!”, I got very excited! I think that the actors chosen for Emma, Isabella, and Krone are a very special cast and the best if you want to make a live-action in Japan. Let's look forward to the movie release!
[Illustrations: Demizu Posuka]
The cast is so wonderful! Thank you, everyone! During the tour on the movie set, I was impressed by Kitagawa-san’s voice echoing in a dark and quiet house. I was also astonished by the way Mama called Emma’s name. She put both a sense of kindness and strength into a single word while accompanying it with a gesture of her hand, just like in the manga! (I heard she read it with great attention) That smile shown through her little narrow and gentle eyes that hide a mix of affection and just a little bit of coldness is amazing! Also, Kitagawa-san looks bigger on the screen than during the break!
In the manga, her attitude towards the children is a little exaggerated, but here it is perfect! Krone played by Watanabe-san is very impressive. She is a jokey character, but she is also one of the top child prodigies when it comes to intellect. The expression she puts into each word is simply the best!! Looking at the two of them, I was able to experience the mysterious feeling that the worldview I created in the manga was now right in front of me like a sort of déjà vu.
[Director: Hirakawa Yuuichirou]
Since I had worked with Kitagawa-san 13 years prior, I was able to notice on the movie set that she grew as an actress and that she was even more brilliant than before. With the strength and kindness of a mother who raises nearly 30 children alone, she played the role of an adoring Isabella magnificently, and also became the greatest barrier for the children. I owe everything to her.
I worked for the first time with Naomi-san, but before that, I already knew she was the greatest entertainer in Japan. On the movie set, I asked her to improvise a lot, and she was able to perform very well each time. The sadness full of human kindness that characterizes Krone, has added a warm feeling to the movie. I hope you will see it on the screen.
[Producer: Murase Ken]
We are so grateful to have such an amazing cast! The heart, beauty, tenderness, and the fear behind it… In all of them, Kitagawa Keiko is Isabella. Isn't it the best casting that you could imagine, which is even highly appreciated by the fans of the original work?
And Krone. I think there is no actress that would be able to play that unique character with such a strange atmosphere, unusual look and gestures better than Watanabe Naomi. Even now I feel terrified at the mere thought of declining their offer. Besides the manga, be sure to look forward to the live-action featuring Isabella and Krone, which adds a sense of reality to the original work through real actors.

Jul. 9 is the anniversary of the death of Johnny Kitagawa, the founder of Johnny's.
Johnny's has greatly influenced the entertainment industry not only in Japan but also all over the world, and they are also an essential part of the anime/anime song industry.
Speaking of anime songs by Johnny's artists, many of you may think of "Yuuki 100%" from "Nintama Rantarou".
However, including the theme song for the currently running TV anime "The Millionaire Detective Balance: Unlimited", many anime songs have been sung by them.
This is an article looking back at the history of Johnny's × Anime Songs!
We will take you back through the ages to check out some of the best songs matching the world of anime.
2020s: An unknown artist appears!
One of the most recent memorable anime songs by Johnny's is "NAVIGATOR" by SixTONES, which is used as the opening theme of the currently airing "The Millionaire Detective Balance: Unlimited".
At the time of the first broadcast, the artist's name was hidden, and everybody was making guesses on social media.
The trilling, cool tune has enough impact to blow away the image of Johnny's songs being idol-like. Many of you may have fascinated by their style of them appealing their music with their name kept hidden.
Also, "Black Clover" 11th cour's opening theme "Stories" was sung by Snow Man. One of the members, Sakuma Daisuke-san, loves anime, and fans were delighted that his dream came true.
The speedy intro and the positive lyrics of overcoming conflicts and moving forward complement the opening of the anime perfectly.
2010s: Family-friendly Johnny's anime song
In 2017, "Fantastic time", the opening theme of "Time Bokan24", was sung by Hey! Say! JUMP. The catchy tune will make you want to start dancing.
The opening theme of the 2nd cour "OVER THE TOP", which had a matureness and a melody that heats up at the hook, was also sung by Hey! Say! JUMP.
The sequel "Time Bokan: The Villains' Strike Back" 1st cour in 2018 had KinKi Kids singing a jazzy tune "DESTINY", which was inspired by the 3 villains.
They also sang "Topaz Love" for the ending theme of the 2nd cour, reminding us of youthful love.
In 2015, NEWS sang "Yonjuushi" as the opening theme for "The Kindaichi Case Files R". It has a taste of classical music, creating tension and grandness which perfectly matches the suspenseful story.
The anime also had "TRAGEDY" by KAT-TUN as its opening theme in 2016. Words that remind you of mysteries, such as "hints" and "doubt", are scattered in the lyrics, making it one of the songs with the strongest relationship with the anime.
The Saturday evening anime slot in which the "Time Bokan" series and "The Kindaichi Case Files R" were broadcast, has many songs by Johnny's artists loved across generations.
2000s: From films to TV series!
In 2006, "Sayaendou" by NEWS was used as the theme song of "One Piece The Movie: Giant Mecha Soldier of Karakuri Castle". The steelpan's in the song gave it a tropical tone, and the lyrics such as "skull" and "one piece" perfectly fits the film.
"One Piece" has teamed up with Johnny's on its TV series too. "Crazy Rainbow" (2007) by Tackey & Tsubasa, "Super Powers" (2019) by V6 were used as the opening theme, and "Mirai Koukai" (2005) by Tackey & Tsubasa was used as the ending theme.
"Inuyasha", which started in 2000, is also a treasure trove of anime songs by Jonny's. "CHANGE THE WORLD" (2000) by V6, "One Day, One Dream" (2004) by Tackey & Tsubasa, and many other songs were used for the anime.
In addition, "Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Kouen-mae Hashutsujo" in 2002 had Arashi singing "Nice na Kokoroiki" for the opening theme and "Naruto: Shippuden" in 2008 had MATCHY with QUESTION?, a special team of Johnny's band and Kondou Mahsahiko, singing "Mezamero! Yasei". The 2000s had many shonen-manga-based anime collaborating with Johnny's.
1990s: The classic anime song "Yuuki 100%" was born!
One of the most famous Johnny's anime songs from the 1990s is "Yuuki 100%", the opening theme song of the TV anime "Nintama Rantarou, which began in 1993. Since Hikaru GENJI sang it as the opening theme, many groups followed, including Ya-Ya-yah and Hey! Say! JUMP.
The insert songs and ending themes of "Nintama Rantarou" were also sung by many Johnny's groups, such as "Hohoemi wo Azukete" (1993) by Hikaru GENJI and "Sekai ga Hitotsu ni Narumade" (2002) by Ya-Ya-yah.
In 1994, SMAP sang the opening theme song "Kimiiro Omoi" for "Akazukin Chacha". The positive lyrics about never giving up on love left a strong impression.
SMAP also sang "Egao no Genki" as the opening theme and "Burabura Sasete" as the ending theme for "Hime-chan's Ribbon" in 1992, showing how well their songs match shojo-manga-based anime.
TOKIO also worked on many songs for various genres of anime, including "Hear wo Migakukkyanai" as the opening theme of "Soar High! Isami" and "Uwasa no Kiss" as the ending theme of "Kiteretsu Daihyakka".
Their debut song "LOVE YOU ONLY" was also used as the opening theme of the TV anime "Tsuyoshi Shikkari Shinasai", which was broadcast from 1992. The fresh singing voice and lyrics about honest love added grace to the anime.
1980s and before: Johnny's anime songs hand in hand with TV anime!
There are many Johnny's anime songs before "Nintama Rantarou" and "Hime-chan's Ribbon".
For example, Eagles sang "Eagle Sam no March", the opening theme of "Eagle Sam" in the 1980s. There were a total of 4 theme songs for "Eagle Sam" and they were all sung by Eagles.
Going back even further, Four Leaves sang the opening theme "Denshi Choujin U Bird" and the ending theme "Ginga Trio no Uta" for "Birdman and the Galaxy Trio", in the 1960s, when TV anime just stated.
Anime and Johnny's have a long history together.
These are only a few of the Johnny's anime songs. Some of you may be surprised to find out that these songs were by Johnny's.
Listening to the songs you already know, after you find out they were from anime, could bring you new discoveries.

"Nico Nico Chokaigi" is an event held every year dedicated to the "fusion of the real world theand internet" that has been held since 2012
"Nico Nico Chokaigi 2020" in April 2020 was moved online for the first time due to the spread of the novel coronavirus, and in August of the same year, a summer online super conference was also held. During the eight-day session, the number of online visitors was 16.38 million in April and 17.73 million in August, and more than 100 user-initiated projects were successfully gathered.
This year, which marks the 10th anniversary of the event, "Nico Nico Chokaigi" was planned to be held in a new form to further promote the event, with the first 6 days being held online and the last 2 days being held at Makuhari Messe.
However, considering the uncertain situation with the spread of the novel coronavirus, it was announced that the event will be moved to online format as soon as possible. Dwango, the organizer, said, "Utilizing the experience of the past two times, we will proceed with preparations with related companies so that users can enjoy it as a more advanced online superconference."
"Nico Nico Net Chokaigi 2021" will be held online from April 24 to May 1. Details of the event will be announced later on the "Nico Nico Live Broadcasting" website.
[Natsuno Takeshi / President of Dwango]
The "Nico Nico Ultra Conference" has been growing as a real event since 2012, and has evolved into a stronger and more passionate event by holding it online even last year when the Corona disaster struck. With no end in sight for the new coronavirus, and with online communication becoming more and more widespread, we would like to make the most of the strength of NicoNico, which allows us to feel the warmth and enthusiasm of people, and create a super conference that is worthy of this 10th anniversary year.
Please look forward to "Nico Nico Net Chokaigi 2021", which has taken a new step.

TV anime "Seiin High School Boys Volleyball Club" will be aired from Jan. 7, 2021 on Fuji TV "noitaminA" and other channels.
Ishikawa Kaito as Mimura Subaru
Q1. What is your impression of the work?
This story carefully depicts how the members commit to volleyball, and how they are related to each other. Each high school has its own character, and you will be really excited to see their journey to get here.
Q2. What is your impression of the character you play? And what is your resolution?
Mimura is an ace that everyone relies on.
I don't fully understand his feelings so far, so I'm looking forward to the development.
Amasaki Kohei as Ochi Mitsuomi
Q1. What is your impression of the work?
Pure, honest, I thought this is what youth story should be.
I like this kind of story as we only have a limited time to play sports in school days, which is transient but has a drama.
Also, the story is set in Fukui, so the characters speak with the Fukui dialect throughout the series.
I am from Osaka, so I studied it hard.
Please watch Mitsuomi, Subaru, and Fukuho are playing active roles!
Thank you for supporting us!
Q2. What is your impression of the character you play? And what is your resolution?
He significantly changed how to commit to volleyball.
I quit the club that I belonged to in high school as I hurt my back, but I could not make a decision to be a manager, probably because I was not determined enough to support other members, and I was not passionate enough to be involved in the sport in a different position and to find another dream there. I don't regret the decision, but still I admire Mitsuomi's decision.
Opening theme: yama
To commit to something with support from friends. I thought this was what youth days should be. The lyrics of 'Mahi' describe those who face difficulties while dealing with themselves, which will remind you of the main story. Please listen to the song, and feel their persistence.

Sonju: Kamio Shinichirou
I'm Kamio Shinichirou, who is in charge of Sonju in "The Promised Neverland".
I read this manga many times and cried, and I also watched the first season, so I was really happy when I passed the audition.
Relationship with Musica, the distance between children, and beliefs & suffering as a demon... I will play carefully so that I can firmly deliver the charm of Sonju. Thank you for your support!
Musica: Tanezaki Atsumi
My name is Tanezaki Atsumi and I will play Musica.
Look at the visual. That's right, she's a demon.
However, she has a very mysterious life, so I voiced her while paying attention to the nuances of each line.
I had read the original before I got the role, so I get very nervous every time I record it.
But... it's a Musica. I'll do my best.
