Sunrise announced that they would start up a total of 3 works in 2022 to pursue further development of the Gundam series with over 40 years of history. A TV anime series "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury" will be on air in 2022. This is the first TV anime series in 7 years after the broadcast of "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans". A movie "Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan's Island" will be premiered in 2022. It is directed by Yasuhiko Yoshikazu, based on "Cucuruz Doan's Island", which is one of the TV anime "Mobile Suit Gundam" episodes. Moreover, along with the distribution of a smartphone application "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans G", a special edition of "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans" that was broadcast in 2015, will be on air in 2022, with 9 separate broadcasts . From "Advance of Zeta: The Flag of Titans", a magazine project of "Gundam", comes an HG Gunpla of "TR-6 [Kehaar II]", a variation model of "Gundam TR-6 [Woundwort]". Pre-orders are available at "Premium Bandai". "HG 1/144 Gundam TR-6 [Kehaar II]" has newly molded parts of its unique head, torso, arms, and other parts, to reproduce its body shape and details. It also has newly molded mounting parts on the inside to keep the exterior parts balanced. The transformation into its disc-shaped MA form is recreated by replacing parts.
