The sixth season of the TV anime Kingdom will air on NHK General starting October 2025. This season marks the beginning of a full-scale war between Qin and Zhao as the battle for the unification of China intensifies. Alongside the announcement, a new visual of Shin from the Hi Shin Unit has been released, showing him wielding the glaive entrusted to him by the late General Ou Ki. Kingdom is a grand historical war epic based on the manga by Hara Yasuhisa, serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump. Set during China’s Warring States period, it follows a young boy named Shin (voiced by Morita Masakazu) who aims to become the greatest general under the heavens, and a young king named Ei Sei (voiced by Fukuyama Jun), who would later become the First Emperor of China. The manga has sold over 110 million copies to date. In 2024, the fourth live-action film Kingdom: Return of the Great General was released and became a box office hit, grossing 8 billion yen. The anime series began with Season 1 airing on NHK BS Premium from June 2012 to February 2013, followed by Season 2 from June 2013 to March 2014, Season 3 from April to October 2021, Season 4 from April to October 2022, and Season 5 from January to March 2024. Season 5, which aired last year, ended on a high note with Qin successfully seizing Koku You Hill thanks to the efforts of the Kanki Army and Hi Shin Unit, establishing it as a strategic base for invading Zhao. In the upcoming Season 6, which premieres this October, the war with Zhao finally begins. Qin will launch an operation with a coalition of three armies led by Ou Sen (voiced by Horiuchi Kenyu), Kanki (voiced by Ito Kentaro), and Yo Tan Wa (voiced by Sonozaki Mie). Next-generation leaders Shin (voiced by Morita Masakazu), Mou Ten (voiced by Nojima Hirofumi), and Ou Hon (voiced by Hosoya Yoshimasa) will also lead their own units as independent forces, taking on key roles. The third stage play adaptation of the manga "Jujutsu Kaisen", "Stage Play Jujutsu Kaisen 0 WITH LIVE BAND" was announced to be performed in Tokyo in December 2024 and in Osaka in January 2025. A teaser visual featuring Ogoe Yuki as Okkotsu Yuta and Fujita Ray as Geto Suguru was reveiled. "Jujutsu Kaisen" is a dark fantasy manga serialized in Shueisha's "Weekly Shonen Jump" by Akutami Gege. It depicts the battles between Jujutsu sorcerers who exorcise curses born from negative human emotions. The series with 27 volumes issued has surpassed 90 million copies in cumulative circulation. The anime's first season aired from October 2020 to March 2021, and in December 2021, the first movie, "Jujutsu Kaisen 0: The Movie," was released, boasting a staggering 26.5 billion yen in global box-office revenue. The second season, the "Hidden Inventory/Premature Death" arc and the "Shibuya Incident" arc, broadcast from July through December 2023, marked both domestic and international success. The sequel to the anime "Witchy Pretty Cure!" titled "Witchy Pretty Cure!! -MIRAI DAYS-" was announced to start at 2:00 AM on January 12, 2025. This is the second show of the video project announced as a new attempt for the 20th anniversary of Pretty Cure, and the logo was also released with the announcement. Pretty Cure is an anime series that started with "Futari wa Pretty Cure" on February 1, 2004, and has released 21 titles up to the current "Wonderful Pretty Cure!" with 32 movies released. The series depicts friendship, bonds, and growth as the main characters transform into legendary warriors called Pretty Cure to confront powerful forces. The motifs, themes, and characters are renewed yearly to continue the series. As a new attempt for last year's 20th anniversary, the Pretty Cure series announced a video project under the concept of "video content that lets both the fans that have grown up and the viewers of the current series continue to enjoy the Pretty Cure series even further."
