The fall anime "The Eminence in Shadow" has released a synopsis and preview images from episode 8 "Dark Knight Academy Under Attack," which starts airing on November 23, 2022 (Wednesday). The anime is based on the novel of the same title published by KADOKAWA, which has sold over 2 million copies. A boy, who desires to be a "powerful man in the shadows" but leads an ordinary life, is one day reincarnated in another world as Cid Kagenou. It is a comedy that follows the protagonist as he becomes an actual "powerful man in the shadows" without his knowledge. The title of the eighth episode is "Dark Knight Academy Under Attack." When Rose resists a group of black-clad men and is about to be cut down, Cid, who wants to fulfill his role as a “mob”, takes his place. After that, he begins to happily take part in the "terrorist takeover at the school," a story development he had only dreamed of.
