Celebrating the 9th anniversary of "Love Live!", the live event "Love Live! Series 9th Anniversary Love Live! Fes", was held in Saitama Super Arena (stadium mode) in Saitama Prefecture on Jan. 18, 2020 and Jan. 19, 2020. On Day 1, μ's from "Love Live!", Aqours and Saint Snow from "Love Live! Sunshine" and the Nijigasaki Academy School Idol Club performed, and a total of 29 members created an event which the fans were very excited to see. In the stadium, after the video "9th anniversary announcement PV" was aired to look back on the history of "Love Live!", 9 members from Aqours appeared on stage. They performed "Mitaiken HORIZON", a song that was being performed for the first time in a live event, creating an astonishing opening. When it came for the turn of Nijigasaki Academy School Idol Club, also known as "Niji Gaku", known for it's solo performances, each member wore a unique outfit for each character and sung "TOKIMEKI Runners" with a lot of passion. After that solo songs were performed consecutively, starting with "Yume e no Ippo" by Oonishi Aguri, playing Uehara Ayumu. After the 9 members assembled again, they performed "Love U my friends" on the truck. Next to appear were CYaRon!, AZALEA, and Guilty Kiss; units from Aqours in "Love Live! Sunshine!!". They each performed 2 songs. Two performers from Saint Snow also appeared on the stage and performed "SELF CONTROL!!" and "Believe again", using the whole stage. And finally, Aqours on a large ship called Aqours 9th Anniversary Ship performed "Todokanai Hoshi dato shitemo" and "Kimi no Kokoro wa Kagayaite Iru Kai?", while charming the audience. μ's appeared on the stage with cheers from the audience for the first time ever since the final live in Tokyo Dome in 4 years ago. They wore a new outfit exclusively made for this day and started their performance with "Boura no LIVE Kimi to no LIFE" and continued with a TV anime medley. In the last song "Snow halation", the white penlights changed into a beautiful orange color and the fans and performers created a beautiful moment together. Aqours, Saint Snow and the members of Niji Gaku appeared on the stage again after the performance by μ's. The leaders from each group said thanks to the fans and the whole 29 cast members bowed to the audience, holding each others' hands. On Day 2, it was announced that <Love Live! It has been announced that "Meets SHIZUOKA ~ Yuru Camp△ × Love Live! Sunshine!! ~" will be held as a collaboration project between "Yuru Camp△" and "Love Live! Sunshine!!". Set in Shizuoka, the hometown of both series, various initiatives will be carried out, accompanied by illustrations showcasing different locations. "Yuru Camp△" is an anime based on the manga by Afro, known for its depiction of high school girls enjoying camping and its relaxed atmosphere. Since its anime adaptation in 2018, it has aired two TV series and one short anime series, with the movie "Yuru Camp△" released in 2022, all of which have been highly successful. The third TV series began airing in April 2024. "Love Live! Sunshine!!" is the second series of the "Love Live! Project" under the theme of "fulfilling a story together," which tells the story of nine high school girls becoming "school idols" to fulfill their dreams . It depicts the struggles and growth of the school idol group "Aqours," formed at a school in the Uchiura area of Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture. The project started in February 2015 with the release of the magazine "Dengeki G's Magazine," and continued with the broadcast of two TV anime series from 2016 to 2017, followed by the release of a completely new theatrical edition in 2019. On New Year's Eve 2018, "Aqours" participated in the 69th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen. As of June 2024, "Aqours" is approaching its 9th anniversary since formation, showing even more excitement. Starting with the release of the key visual, the collaboration project "Meets SHIZUOKA ~ Yuru Camp△ × Love Live! Sunshine!! ~" will feature various initiatives involving illustrations showcasing different locations in Shizuoka. Accompanying the announcement is the release of key visuals. Additionally, the characters visiting famous spots in Shizuoka will be depicted in illustrations by illustrator Fuyuno Kamome in the project titled "Meets SHIZUOKA ~ Scenery of Encounters ~." The first three illustrations from the western area were unveiled. "Meets SHIZUOKA ~ Scenery of Encounters ~" consists of a total of nine illustrations, with three each from the central and eastern areas to be released later. In addition, illustration cards will be distributed at the featured and surrounding facilities. Distribution of the first three illustrations from the western area will begin on May 11, with the distribution method to be announced on May 2. Goods featuring the illustrations will also be produced, so stay tuned for further updates. Furthermore, a total of 18 stamps featuring attractive spots in Shizuoka have been introduced as "Meets SHIZUOKA Stamps." A stamp rally and the sale of various goods featuring the stamp illustrations have also been decided. From April 26, JR Tokai's collaboration campaign between "OshiTabi" and "Meets SHIZUOKA" will begin. Visitors presenting an EX reservation or Smart EX usage ticket at designated locations will receive an original A5 clear file. Additionally, from May 3, a POP-UP SHOP will open at "Shizuoka PARCO," offering a variety of "Meets SHIZUOKA" original goods. Fans are encouraged to visit the shop.
