A second collaboration between “Bocchi the Rock!” and the natural mineral water brand “I Lohas” has been announced. The in-show music group “Kessoku Band” will write their first collaboration song specifically for “I Lohas.” Ahead of the new song’s debut, a movie of the band receiving a song offer will be released starting August 1, and a campaign offering merchandise will also begin. “Bocchi the Rock!” is an anime based on the four-panel manga by Hamaji Aki, serialized in “Manga Time Kirara MAX.” It follows the story of Gotou Hitori, an extremely shy and introverted girl who joins the music group Kessoku Band and grows alongside three other unique members: Ijichi Nijika, Yamada Ryou, and Kita Ikuyo. The anime, which aired in fall 2022, gained immense popularity both domestically and internationally. Their full album "Kessoku Band" named after the band name, achieved top rankings in the 2023 Oricon Digital Album Rankings and Billboard JAPAN Download Album Chart. The film compilation, “Bocchi the Rock! Re:,” which is the first part , has been well-received, surpassing 400,000 viewers and earning over 620 million yen in box office revenue since its release on June 7. The second part, “Bocchi the Rock! Re:Re:,” will be released on August 9. The collaboration with “I Lohas,” a brand promoting “naturally changing the future through water,” first occurred in 2023. Original content was developed for this collaboration and was widely discussed on social media. This year’s second collaboration features the band Kessoku Band from “Bocchi the Rock!” writing their first corporate tie-up song inspired by “I Lohas.” The song "Boku to Sangenshoku" (lit. Me and the Three Primary Colors) will be included in the mini-album “Re: Kessoku Band,” which releases and streams on August 14. It will also be featured in a special music video on the Aniplex official YouTube channel starting August 26. Ahead of the release and streaming of the tie-up song, a movie of the band receiving a song offer showcasing the behind-the-scenes of the new song’s production began on August 1. Additionally, a campaign offering original pick-shaped stickers and “Coke ON” drink tickets is ongoing. A special campaign will increase the number of winners from 690 to 6,900 if the “Song Offer Movie” reaches 690,000 views, so fans should definitely check it out. The original story of "Bocchi the Rock!” is based on a four-panel girls' band comic series by Hamaji Aki that has been serialized in "Manga Time Kirara MAX" since 2018. The story centers around Goto Hitori, aka "Bocchi," who is not only a shy introvert but also a skilled guitarist, and depicts her and her band, "Kessoku Band.
