“Masamune-kun’s Revenge” Season 2 is confirmed! Commemoration PV and the author comments have been released!
The 2nd season of the TV anime "Masamune-kun's Revenge", titled "Masamune-kun's Revenge R" has been announced. Along with this announcement, the season 2 commemoration illustration was released together with commemoration comments from Takeoka Hazuki (story) and Tiv (illustration). "Masamune-kun's Revenge" is based on the revenge love comedy manga by Takeoka Hazuki (story) and Tiv (illustration) that has more than 3.5 million copies in circulation (inclusive of e-books). The story depicts Makabe Masamune, who used to be an ordinary fat guy, but transformed into a handsome guy after losing weight, struggles to achieve his plan of making Adagaki Aki, who rejected him harshly, fall in love with him just to reject her afterward. The 1st season of the TV anime was broadcast in January 2017. The season 2 commemoration illustration that was just release is a transformation of the illustration that was released on the recent April's Fool, April 1, 2022. After the board stating "Season 3 is confirmed" was taken out from the April's Fool's illustration, a new board stating "It's real! Season 2 is confirmed!!" can be seen. The commemoration PV is filled with the nostalgic scenes of the 1st season of the TV anime and the characters, and the new logo for season 2 was revealed in the end.
