The TV anime “Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan” will be broadcast from July 5, 2021. When the anime adaptation and cast members were announced, many fans reacted on social media saying, “The cast members of Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan is sooooo gorgeous,” and “The cast members of Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan is gorgeous to the point it’s exhausting.”
This article will introduce you to Kamiya Hiroshi-san, who plays the main character Omota Uramichi and the other main cast members, who are truly “overly gorgeous”.
So what is this “Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan” with “overly gorgeous cast members”? It is originally a manga with the same title by Kuze Gaku, serialized on the online manga magazine “comic POOL”. The comics have over 1 million copies in circulation (including ebooks).
The protagonist is the two-faced, 31-year-old man, Omota Uramichi, the gymnastics instructor of the children’s educational program “Maman to Together” (Together with Maman). It is a story about a kind but sometimes “dark” young man. A sad celebration of life for the “good kids” who have grown up.
Kamiya Hiroshi as Omota Uramichi
The voice actor playing the protagonist, Omota Uramichi a.k.a. Uramichi Oniisan, is Kamiya Hiroshi-san, well known for characters, such as Levi from “Attack on Titan” and Akashi Sijuurou from “Kuroko’s Basketball”.
Kamiya-san has been voicing Uramichi Oniisan since the “Release Commemoration Promo Video” for vol. 1 of the comics back in 2017. Since then, he has pulled off the role with a large gap between the nice smile and unstable emotions.
In addition to his voice acting, Kamiya-san also has a carrier in music. He also won the MSV (Most Valuable Seiyuu), which is given to the voice actor chosen by fans, in the 13th and 14th Seiyuu Awards.
Sugita Tomokazu as Usahara Tobikichi
Sugita Tomokazu-san is playing Usahara Tobikichi, who is inside of the suit of Usao-kun, a rabbit in “Together with Maman” in which Uramichi Oniisan and the other characters appear. He is well known for characters, such as Sakata Gintoki from “Gintama” and Joseph Joestar from “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure”.
Sugita-san established AGRS Inc. while working as a voice actor. The company was a part of the production committee of “Aoi Hane Mitsuketa!” (I found a blue feather!), a short anime by Noovo Inc.
He also posts videos on YouTube, talking about things he likes or doing some kind of challenge.
Nakamura Yuuichi as Kumatani Mitsuo
Nakamura Yuuichi-san is playing Usahara Tobikichi, who is inside of the suit of Kumao-kun, a bear in “Together with Maman”. He is well known for characters, such as Gojou Satoru from “Jujutsu Kaisen” and Shiba Tatsuya from “The Irregular at Magic High School”.
Nakamura-san is also famous for dubbing foreign films. He dubbed Captain America in the “Marvel Cinematic Universe”.
He appears on the YouTube channel “Washagana TV” along with the freelance writer Mafia Kajita-san. Various videos including gameplay and introducing his personal belongings.
Miyano Mamoru as Daga Iketeru
Miyano Mamoru-san is playing Daga Iketeru, the song instructor a.k.a. Iketeru Oniisan in “Together with Maman”. He is well known for characters, such as Setsuna F Seiei from “Mobile Suit Gundam 00” and Reinhard von Lohengramm from “Legend of the Galactic Heroes”.
Miyano-san is also active as a singer. He was the first male voice actor to have a solo concert at Nippon Budokan on October 4, 2013.
As an actor, he has appeared in stage plays, such as the musical “Prince of Tennis” and “Seven Souls in the Skull Castle: Season Moon Kagen” by Gekidan Shinkansen, and even in TV dramas such as “Yuube was Otanoshimi Deshita ne” and “Hanzawa Naoki”.
Mizuki Nana as Tadano Utano
The song instructor of “Together with Maman” Tadano Utano is played by Mizuki Nana. She is well known for characters, such as Kazanari Tsubasa from the “Symphogear” series and Uzumaki Hinata from “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations”.
Mizuki-san is also a singer as well as a voice actor. She was the first voice actor to appear in “60th Kouhaku Uta Gassen” in 2009. She also is the first solo voice actor to achieve 1st place on the Oricon Singles Daily Ranking.
She will be singing the opening theme for the anime, “ABC Taisou”, as “Iketeru Oniisan & Utano Oneesan” along with Miyano Mamoru-san as Daga Iketeru. The promo video lets you enjoy the song ahead of the broadcast.
