From ‘One Piece’, Luffy and Chopper have been made into soft “Chunky” vinyl figures. Pre-orders are being accepted on ‘Premium Bandai’.
“ONE PIECE BUSTERCALL Chunky Monkey.D.Luffy” and “ONE PIECE BUSTERCALL Chunky Tony Tony.Chopper” are figures of Luffy and Chopper from the ‘BUSTERCALL Art Project’. The “Chunky” series is based on the illustrations of Alex Solis, an American-based artist who specializes in “Chunky” arrangements.
The chunky” series “has grown from just one character to over 100 characters as a way to raise awareness of healthy eating habits”.
Commenting on the chunky conversion of Luffy and Chopper, “Alex Solis” said, “I feel like we’ve personally been able to complete Luffy and Chopper with a perfectly chunky style fit. I’m very excited to be working on such a great piece of art and character. I’ve always dreamed of working with a company like One Piece in Japan! I can’t wait to add these figures to my own personal collection as well.
“ONE PIECE BUSTERCALL Chunky Monkey.D.Luffy” and “ONE PIECE BUSTERCALL Chunky Tony Tony.Chopper” are priced at 13,200 JPY each (including tax) and will be available for pre-order on ‘Premium Bandai’ until 11:00 PM on December 27, 2020. The products are scheduled to be shipped in July 2021.
