From the summer anime ‘My Stepmom’s Daughter Is My Ex’, the outline and preview scene cuts of Episode 1 “The Former Couple Refuses to Say… “It’s things like this…!”, which will be aired on Wednesday, July 6, 2022.
‘My Stepmom’s Daughter Is My Ex’ is based on the novel series of the same title written by Kyosuke Kamishiro and character ideas by Takaya Ki. The original work was published by Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko and won the “Rom-Com Award ” of “The Third Kakuyomu Web Novel Competition”.
The story begins when Mizuto Irido and Yume Ayai, a former couple who broke up at their graduation from junior high school, become “siblings” due to their parents’ second marriage.
The title for Episode 1 is “The Former Couple Refuses to Say… “It’s things like this…!”.
Despite their relationship in the past, Mizuto and Yume are now “siblings-in-law”. The most important thing for them is not to make their parents feel awkward and which of them will be the older sibling.
Refusing to be “beneath” the other, the two decide on a rule that the younger sibling is the one who says or does something unbecoming of siblings-in-law, and they devise a plan for each other.
The first episode of ‘My Stepmom’s Daughter Is My Ex’, “The Former Couple Refuses to Say… “It’s things like this…!”, will start broadcasting on July 6 on TOKYO MX and other channels.
