“Tokyo Revengers x Marui Shibuya: Kabuki no Yakata,” is a collaborative exhibition of the TV anime “Tokyo Revengers” and the traditional Japanese performing art “Kabuki,” will be held at Shibuya Modi from February 24 (Fri.).

“Tokyo Revengers” is a “rebellion against authority revenge suspense” based on the manga “Tokyo Manji Revengers” by Wakui Ken Wakui, which has sold over 70 million copies in total. The original manga series was completed in November 2022 after five and a half years of serialization.

The first season of the TV anime began airing in April 2021, and the “Battle of 8/3” and “Bloody Halloween” episodes were shown. The second season, ‘Tokyo Revengers “Christmas Showdown Arc,”‘ which depicts the “Christmas Showdown Arc,” will be broadcast sequentially on 37 stations nationwide from January 2023.

The exhibition will feature the sale of merchandise using newly-drawn Kabuki costume illustrations of the main character, Hanagaki Takemichi, and six other characters, Sano Manjiro, Ryuguji Ken, Baji Keisuke, Matsuno Chifuyu, and Mitsuya Takashi, as well as a photo spot with standby panels and displays of Kabuki costumes and props from each of the collaborative performances.

“Tokyo Revengers x Marui Shibuya: Kabuki no Yakata” will be held at Marui No Anime on the 7th floor of Shibuya Modi from Friday, February 24 to Sunday, March 12, 2023. Admission is 880 yen (tax included). To reduce congestion, advance reservations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis only for the sales area during certain hours from February 24 (Fri.) to February 26 (Sun.). Pre-orders will be accepted from 6:00 p.m., February 2, so be sure to make your reservations if you want to get your goods early.
