From “Mobile Suit Gundam”, 3 new works of the Gundam series will be released in 2022, which are a TV anime series “Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury”, a movie “Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan’s Island”, and a special edition of TV anime series “Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans”.

Sunrise announced that they would start up a total of 3 works in 2022 to pursue further development of the Gundam series with over 40 years of history.
A TV anime series “Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury” will be on air in 2022. This is the first TV anime series in 7 years after the broadcast of “Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans”.
A movie “Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan’s Island” will be premiered in 2022. It is directed by Yasuhiko Yoshikazu, based on “Cucuruz Doan’s Island”, which is one of the TV anime “Mobile Suit Gundam” episodes.

Moreover, along with the distribution of a smartphone application “Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans G”, a special edition of “Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans” that was broadcast in 2015, will be on air in 2022, with 9 separate broadcasts . During the broadcast, “Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans Urðr Hunt”, the latest title produced by the same staff as the TV series, will be partly shown.
