TV anime series ‘Tokyo Mew Mew New’ released its first key visual and a teaser trailer. Yasuharu Takanashi (Team-MAX), who has done music for the ‘Sailor Moon’ series, the ‘Pretty Cure’ series, and ‘Zombie Land Saga’, was also announced to be in charge of the music for the show.

‘Tokyo Mew Mew New’ is a new anime project from the ‘Tokyo Mew Mew’ series. The new series starts as a part of the 65th anniversary celebration for ‘Nakayoshi’, the magazine in which the original manga was serialized from 2000 to 2003. The story centers on Ichigo Momomiya, an ordinary girl chosen to be “Mew Strawberry” that can use the power of Iriomote cat. It depicts Ichigo and her friends’ battles against evil.

The key visual released this time shows the five Mew Mews. Ichigo Momomiya, who also appeared in the teaser video released in February 2021, Minto Aizawa, Retasu Midorikawa, Bu-Ling Huang, and Zakuro FUjiwara, all in their battle costumes.

The teaser video allows viewers to hear the voices of all the five Mew Mews’ for the first time. Fans should not miss out the must-see video that raises their expectations even higher.

The broadcast of ‘Tokyo Mew Mew New’ will start in 2022. Stay tuned for the first work from the “Tokyo Mew Mew” series in 20 years.
