The industry’s first original regular voice actor program, “Say You to Yoasobi (Nightlife with Voice Actors),” which is being distributed on the Anime CH of the new future TV “ABEMA,” celebrated its fourth anniversary on April 2, 2021.
Anime! Anime! conducted interviews with the voice actors in charge of each day of the week to celebrate the 4th anniversary and the start of the new season and asked them about their journey with “Say You to Yoasobi” and their enthusiasm for the 4th year.
This time, we interviewed Tokui Sora, the new MC for Wednesday. In the previous season, Komatsu Mikako and Uesaka Sumire delivered various projects under the theme of “destruction”. We asked Tokui Sora, the third new MC, how she would inject the essence of “pampering” into the show.

–What was your impression when you were told that you would be the new MC for “Say You to Yoasobi 2021”?
Tokui: I was very surprised. To begin with, Uesaka Sumire and Komatsu Mikako’s Wednesday had already been completed, and they have a lot of fans. A very happy world has already been created, so what will happen if I join in ……? I couldn’t even imagine it.
–What is your impression of “Say You to Yoasobi” Wednesday?
Tokui: Cute and funny!
–What kind of Wednesday do you want to make?
Tokui: On Wednesdays, the world view of Komatsu-san and Uesaka-san is already established to some extent, but I would still like to do something new. It’s “Destruction” Wednesday, so I want to destroy the fatigue of the viewers.
–Tokui: What kind of day is Wednesday for you?
Tokui: It’s the day of the week when I eat whatever I want, as much as I want. Since Wednesday is the middle of the week, I will work and consume the calories on Thursday and Friday afterwards, so the theory is that “everything I eat on Wednesday will become zero calories.”
–So, would you like to do a gourmet project?
Tokui: That sounds great! I’d like to introduce to the both of them that this can be zero calorie. On Wednesday, I’m pushing for zero calories.
Uesaka-san drinks a lot, so I’d like to make her some snacks.
–If you were to invite a guest, what kind of person would you like to have come?
Tokui: I would like a fortune teller to come. This is because, when I had my aura color (the color I was born with) looked at by a fortune teller on a TV program, I was told that about the attributes of a blue person, she told me that they were “not good at exercise” and “drinks a lot of water”. It was so interesting that I wanted to know their aura colors as well.
–The motif of the show is “playing at night,” but on the contrary, do you have a morning routine?
Tokui: My routine is to do my makeup while drinking black coffee. There is probably no day that I don’t drink it. I don’t have a particular type of coffee, except that it has to be black, but I feel refreshed when I drink it. I drink it every morning to turn on my energy for the day.
–What would you like to tell Komatsu-san and Uesaka-san?
Tokui: I want to tell them “Please be good friends!”. We’ve performed together at events before, but we haven’t had a chance to talk with them on the radio. So, it feels like it is like the first time to meet them, so I’d be happy if I could make friends with them.
–What kind of image do you have of the two of them?
Tokui: They are cute and funny. But at the same time, I have the impression of a mature woman with a refreshing attitude.
–Since it is a new season, is there anything that you would like to try this year?
Tokui: Last year, I made my debut in a survival game indoors for the first time, and I would like to try an outdoor field. It was my first time, but I was able to score one hit, so I thought I might have some talent and I would like to develop it. I think there are a lot of female voice actors who want to try survival games, so I’d love to play with them.
–Finally, do you have a message for your fans?
Tokui: I’m very much looking forward to appearing in “Say You to Yoasobi 2021” every Wednesday. I want to get along with Uesaka-san and Komatsu-san and have fun working with them. I hope to bring you a time of “destruction” and “pampering” to help you get through the rest of the week, so please give me your support.
