“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba”, which had just ended its serialization on “Weekly Shounen Jump” recently, will release the volume 21 of the manga on Jul. 3, 2020. A total of 3 million copies (inclusive of the special packaging edition) will be issued for its initial print and volume 1 until volume 21 of the manga had exceeded a total of 80 million copies issued (inclusive of e-book version).
“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” is a tale of traditional Japanese sword battle by Gotouge Koyoharu and was serialized on “Weekly Shounen Jump” Issue 11 of 2016 until Issue 24 of 2020.
On Apr. 2019, the anime adaptation was aired on TOKYO MX and other 20 channels. The sequel movie “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train” will be released on Oct. 16, 2020.
The story takes place during the Taisho Period of Japan and started with the family of the kind charcoal seller, young boy Tanjirou got killed by a demon when he went out. The only survivor was his sister, Nezuko but she had become a violent demon. Thus, in order to avenge his family and turn Nezuko back to a human, Tanjirou and Nezuko started their journey…
“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” Manga Vol. 21 will be released on Jul. 3. The normal edition is priced at 440 JPY (tax excluded), and the special packaging edition with a piece of 32 color characters biography seal (432mm X 340mm) is priced at 1,200 JPY (tax excluded).
