The first in history the original voice actor regular program "SAY YOU TO YOASOBI", which is being distributed on the anime channel of the new future TV "ABEMA", celebrated its 4th anniversary on April 2, 2021.
Here at Anime!Anime!, to commemorate the 4th anniversary and start the new season, we interviewed the voice actors, MCs of each day of the week. We asked them about their journey and their enthusiasm for the fourth year for "SAY YOU TO YOASOBI".
This time, we interviewed Ishikawa Kaito, who is Thursday's MC. He is in charge of the project with Namikawa Daisuke. We talked with Ishikawa-san about his thoughts on Thursday, and about, "Dressing in various clothes everytime..."
[Interview / text = Mori Motoyuki Photographed = Fujita Ayumi]
――Since you will continue your work as an MC on "SAY YOU TO YOASOBI 2021", what did you feel when you heard about it?
Ishikawa: Honestly, I was happy. On the contrary, I thought it was surprising. Before me, Namikawa-san (Namikawa Daisuke) was MC with Kisho (Taniyama Kisho), and I used to work as an MC with various people as a monthly personality, but I haven't been the same MC for the whole year and next season. I wondered if someone other than me would come in, but I'm glad that it's a continuous throw.
――What do you think is the reason for saving the pair?
Ishikawa: I can't say myself "I think it is interesting" (laughs). I don't know.
However, I think Thursday of "SAY YOU TO YOASOBI 2020" was a day when many guests came to. A day of the week when you can call various people. I myself learned a lot about how to ask questions to Namikawa-san's guests and how to proceed with conversations.
The presence of Namikawa-san is a big force on Thursday, and I myself asked Namikawa-san to find a new character called "Positive Ishikawa".
Moreover, I challenged the program with the spirit of doing everything on "SAY YOU TO YOASOBI 2020". I don't know what kind of work I will do next, so I'm doing my best all the time.
Until now, I haven't done regular video programs, so in that sense, I don't know what to do, so maybe I was thinking, "I'll do my best!"
――Are there any episodes that left an impression on you in 2020?
Ishikawa: There are so many things, seems everything was impressive... My birthday party, the episode when I learned the nose flute, and when Kamiya (Hiroshi) became a regular, left me with the impression that I'm sorry... Everything is an important memory.
But after all, the transvestite may be particularly impressive. At my office (Pro-Fit), clothes are strict.
But in "SAY YOU TO YOASOBI" I wore various clothes, and among them, the transvestite was extremely surprised. When I appeared on the stage called "AD-LIVE", I once appeared in a sailor suit (laughs), but this is my first time since then.
At that time, I was very impressed in the sense that I can break the stereotypes of the office. The range of my own work has also expanded.
――It's a powerful word that "I wore various clothes" (laughs). What kind of day do you want Thursday of "SAY YOU TO YOASOBI 2021" to be?
Ishikawa: we haven't discussed that much. All the staff is interesting and trustworthy, so my way is to get along with what they suggested. I may not be able to be"I want to do this" or "I want to do that".
――However, the staff around you seem to want to know Ishikawa-san's request.
Ishikawa: Well... I want to continue to risk, and even though it's midnight, I want to have fun with Namikawa-san. I'm desperate while I'm doing it, and of course, I don't like the moment I'm told, but when I look back, I often think that it was fun, so I'd like to continue forever...
Also, I want to go out to many places and do many things. For example, can I do a vaulting box with Namikawa-san, or can I stop the shot of an experienced handball player? I think both Namikawa and I are can shake ourselves.
――What guests would you like to call in the future?
Ishikawa: Although it is titled "SAY YOU TO YOASOBI" (lit. voice actors late-night fun) I would like to invite people from outside the industry. People from other industries who play become voice actors for a night.
In 2020, we had people from various industries, such as professional nose flute players, hosts, and demonstration sellers. Above all, I would like to call VTubers. Although it is a live-action shooting, and VTuber lives in a two-dimensional world, but I'm wondering if a conversation can be established. It's just I love VTubers (laughs).
Also, it seems interesting to have people who are making TV content appear, so I would like creators "SAY YOU TO YOASOBI" to appear as well.
――Are there any days you want to go?
Ishikawa: It's the new "Weeken!" (WEEKEND). While saying "Weekend!", I want to hear the good music playing.
――The program is about "late-night fun". On the contrary, do you have a morning routine?
Ishikawa: I had tried to shoot a video of the morning routine, but my life is too irregular... Sometimes I go to bed in the morning and sometimes I wake up early in the morning, so I don't have much of a routine. Or rather, there is none at all. I'm just getting ready to go out, but it's not a routine (laughs).
――Is there anything you want to say to Namikawa-san before the program starts?
Ishikawa: I really respect you from the bottom of my heart. I don't have much to say, just this (laughs).
――Are there any new challenges you would like to take in 2021 as you enter the new season?
Ishikawa: In 2020, I couldn't go outside much because I was refraining from moving outside the prefecture or outside the city, so I have a desire to walk around inns that I have never been to. Of course, depends on the circumstances.
――Finally, do you have a message for your fans?
Ishikawa: I will continue to cast as the MC in charge of Thursday for "SAY YOU TO YOASOBI 2021". Thank you for reading this far. In the interview, there were many serious answers, and I think I showed a different nuance from the program.
In 2021, I will continue to do my best to be energetic, cheerful, fun, and respectful for Namikawa-san, so please take a look. If you would like to appear on the program, please contact ABEMA and we will be welcoming you on Thursday, so please feel free to contact us. Thank you.
The first in the history of the industry the original seiyuu regular program "Say You to Yoasobi", which is being distributed on the anime channel of the new future TV "ABEMA", celebrated its 4th anniversary on April 2, 2021.
Here at Anime!Anime!, to commemorate the 4th anniversary and start the new season, we interviewed voice actors who are MCs of each day of the week. We asked them about their journey and their enthusiasm for the fourth year for "Say You to Yoasobi".
This time we interviewed Namikawa Daisuke, Thursday MC. We asked Namikawa-san, who has been an MC for 4 years, what he thinks of "Thursday".
[Interview / text = Mori Motoyuki]
――Since you remain as an MC of "Say You to Yoasobi 2021", what was your impression when you first heard about it?
Namikawa: I was grateful. At first, it was a live broadcast every week, which I thought was difficult, but after three years, I gradually got used to it. However, since it is a live broadcast, I always keep in mind, "I have to find something to talk about", and I have to be more careful about my health in the future.
In 2020, we started with remote work and gradually got used to our new lifestyles, including program making. There is pressure to do my best to provide something interesting, but on the other hand, I am very comfortable doing it.
――It seems that there are some unique things typical only for "Say You to Yoasobi".
Namikawa: There are a lot of free talks, and I talk about things that happened around me without hiding them. It feels like I'll let you know if something happens in my daily life.
――Are there any episodes of "Say You to Yoasobi 2020" that left an impression on you?
Namikawa: I received the grand prize of the "Yarakashi Grand Prize" at the special episode, and that time left an impression on me.
On the birthday project for Kaito (Ishikawa Kaito), I did everything that Kaito wanted to do. I've been an actor for over 30 years, but I haven't experienced any musicals, so I made my musical debut at that time.
――How do you feel looking back on last year's "Say You to Yoasobi 2020" Thursday?
Namikawa: I have the impression that in 2020, I risked a lot. Kaito is very well trained and can do many things, so I tried to catch up with him in the deep hours of the night, but I'm 45 years old (laughs).
However, I think I was able to create a fan image.
――You will be in charge of Thursday again on "Say You to Yoasobu 2021", but what kind of day do you want to have with Ishikawa Kaito?
Namikawa: Kaito is very shy, but it was nice to see him meeting new people as guests. So I want to meet more people.
Also, since Kaito is very knowledgeable, I would like to dare him to do something he doesn't know.
――The staff's unreasonable challenges have become a habit, and seems that they will continue in the future, but do you want to complain?
Namikawa: No, not at all. It's overflowing (laughs). At first, the viewers were worried, but I wondered if they would get used to watching it every week. I got the impression that the viewers finally turned to the side of the staff (laughs). Even in "Seiyuu to Yoruasobi 2021", I would like to continue fighting in that area, and I want to take on various challenges with my body.
――Do you have a project that you would like to say "please let me do this"?
Namikawa: I want to do open things such as events, locations, and camping. At this moment, it is difficult to go somewhere with many people, so I would like to do such a thing with a few people around.
I want to eat the best ramen in Japan, and I also want to try hot spring locations. Kaito is also good at games, so I would like to do game-related projects as well. I've become unfamiliar with the latest games, so I'd like to learn about them from people in the world.
I also want to try survival games and try field athletics like "SASUKE". Make a plan where I clear full-scale field athletics over the course of a year.
――Seems you, Namikawa-san, are thinking about the project seriously.
Namikawa: When I was in my twenties, I really wanted to appear in "SASUKE" and was doing muscle training. But I couldn't get it... When I met Kobayashi Kiyoshi, who was narrating the program at the same office at that time, I asked him, "I want to go to SASUKE, so please tell the staff" and after receiving a reply, "I understand", that was all. As expected, "SASUKE" is tough, but I want to do that kind of thing. Because I like to take risks.
I also want to play ball games. I would like to have the producer participate in the dodgeball project and go for it seriously (laughs).
――Many guests have come to the program so far, but is there anyone you would like to call?
Namikawa: I think the people who have succeeded at things are amazing, so I would like to invite people who are champions or who are doing their best in some competitions. How about people who represented Japan in a sporting competition called "Mölkky" in Finland a few years ago? I have been invited to meet such enthusiastic sports players.
The project "People with a profession I don't know much about" that was carried out in the previous program was also interesting, so I would like to do it again.
――Is there anything you would like to say to your partner, Ishikawa Kaito?
Namikawa: I want him to stay as he is. It's great because he always challenges me with anything, keeps up with what I want to do, and does things I can't do.
If I force too much, he would say "Don't risk so much". He is very kind and welcoming, saying, "I have to tell you more" and "I'll say something more interesting", but sometimes he goes harshly, and as a result, he goes ahead (laughs).
Also, in 2020, he often acted as the moderator, so I think it's okay to have episodes to make Kaito feel comfortable saying, "Sometimes you need a break." In a good way, I want you to emulate Seki-san (Seki Tomokazu).
――What kind of day is Thursday for you, Namikawa-san?
Namikawa: Maybe because there is a live broadcast, Thursday is a day of the week when I can sleep well. In the last three years, it has become commonplace to go to "Say You to Yoasobi" on Thursdays, and due to the organization, there are also holidays, but it is very strange to be at home on Thursday nights.
I can't imagine what would happen if Thursday's "Say You to Yoasobi" disappeared.
――It's a special day, isn't it?
Namikawa: When I do events and broadcasts on Saturdays and Sundays and continue to work from Monday, I sometimes get stuck on Thursday in the middle of the week, but I feel like I can overcome anything. I hope that the program will be like that for the viewers as well. You may be tired or stressed, but it's a program that makes you feel better when you watch it. "Say You to Yoasobi" is distributed every day, so there are various faces for each day of the week, but for Thursday I would like to send an ale saying "Let's do our best for just a little longer (until the weekend)".
――The program is about "night fun". On the contrary, do you have a morning routine?
Namikawa: I don't have a routine every morning, but I can make it a routine only on Thursday night.
After the show, I go home, take a bath, and drink beer. I post a "thank you" message to my fans on SNS, watch TV, read a book, and sleep. I also check the script in advance on Thursday, so I feel like I'm resetting for a new week there.
――Finally, is there something you want to say to your fans?
Namikawa: It's been two years in a row with Kaito, but I'd like to see you power up in a different way from 2020. We aim to create a program that will make you feel better when you watch it.
I am encouraged by the number of views and comments of everyone, so I would like to receive a lot of comments. I will do my best to make Thursday's "Say You to Yoasobi" a routine for everyone, so please support us.

This time we interviewed Komatsu Mikako, who is in charge of MC on Wednesday. Uesaka Sumire and Tokui Sora, who joined this season, will be also in charge of Wednesday, which has the theme of "destruction". What are the important thoughts of Mikako Komatsu, who has created Wednesdays to be able to exchange frank opinions not only with the actors but also with the staff? Let's take a look behind the scenes.
[Interview / text = Mori Motoyuki Photo = Ayumi Fujita]
――You continued to be an MC of "Say You to Yoasobi 2020". What were your feelings when you first heard about it?
Komatsu: We haven't discussed it in 2020, but after the New Year, it came up naturally "this year as well...".
Wednesday's theme is "destruction," but there were many trials and errors. At the time of the meeting, I started with the feeling, "I talked a lot after all, but what are we going to do with the corner?", so I am doubting myself (laughs).
Little by little, I was able to create something like a conversation with the staff, and I came to an understanding, "Wednesday is so tense."
When I talked to Yasumoto Hiroki the other day, I realized that the tension on each day of the week was completely different. From Yasumoto-san's point of view, Wednesday is like, "It is when a team is overwhelmed by tension." I thought, "This was right for me."
It was difficult, but I was very happy to continue because we gradually worked on teamwork and become able to come this far as a team on Wednesday.
――How about recording while drinking alcohol?
Komatsu: I'm not that strong, but as I got along with Uesaka Sumire, who drinks a lot, I began to see the tension and borderline of each other when drinking alcohol. I gradually realized that "it's okay so far, and this is dangerous when I go this far".
However, it was fun because I could produce something unexpected because I was drunk.
There is also lateral communication... There is also a connection through sake, like borrowing a little sake prepared by Morikubo Shotaro. There was also a feeling that I would have been able to connect by drinking and doing a program that would be something that would normally be possible only after going out for a drink.
――What kind of alcohol do you usually drink during the recording?
Komatsu: It's an apple sparkling cider. It's easy to drink even for people who aren't strong drinking alcohol, and I have started to get used to it, and sometimes I borrow something strong that Sumire likes.
――During the year's work, what was the most memorable?
Komatsu: I remember doing something quite impressive on turning points. Birthdays, Halloween, or when I broke plates.
The first time when I visited Bar "L’asile" it left a strong impression on me. I had them make their own original cocktails and it was delicious, but I got quite drunk, and the next week, the staff joked a lot, "You look like an octopus., like this"(laughs). Sometimes I can become an octopus, but it is also impressive.
――Wednesday, when the theme is "destruction," is there anything you are usually aware of in recording?
Komatsu: Everyone feels like it is rude. It's the same with Sumire, and we have a relationship where we can frankly exchange opinions with the staff, and we also discuss what we can do behind the scenes and what we are interested in doing. We are always careful not to over-do it.
――You discuss even that with the production staff?
Komatsu: Well, yeah!?. There are many things, but the budget is pretty small (laughs). Sometimes I didn't have a chair.
When I think about it, I'm focusing on small props and "Would it be better if we don't spend money on this?" Also, AD, Kuwa-san, always has a very difficult feeling, so I would like to say, "Please work harder for Kuwa-san."
――Are there any plans that you want to try in "Say You to Yoasobi 2021"?
Komatsu: I'm interested in location planning. Even in the "program meeting" section of the program, I said various things like "I want to go to the pool" and "I want to go camping", but after all, I want to finally do it.
Above all, I really want to go camping. I would like to take a look at the destructive power of nature's images. Sumire would like it.
――Is it likely that this year will be Wednesday with the theme of "destruction"?
Komatsu: Well... Since it was "destruction" in 2020, maybe it will be "regeneration" in season 4...? (laughs). It's like fixing what you broke and building it. "Destruction" is accompanied by "regeneration", so I would like to repair something.
――Who would you like to see as guests?
Komatsu: Originally, I was talking about "I want to call the team of 'Star Twinkle PreCure'". When I took a break from being MC, Kohara Konomi, who played the role of Hagoromo Lala, came as a substitute.
I haven't been able to call other members yet, so I'd like to call them. I want her to come with Eitaso (Naruse Eimi / Hoshina Hikaru).
At the time of the live performance of "Star Twinkle PreCure", everyone was really excited to do fans dancing, but I would like to do something like mastering fans dancing.
I was told from the beginning that I would do it this way, but since I had only done it for that moment, I would like you to teach me from the basics one by one and from the preparatory movement in advance. In the end, I would like to show off the fans dance around the fire together at the campsite.
――Would you like to join some other days?
Komatsu: I'd like to go out every day of the week, but Seki Tomokazu and Morikubo Shotaro on Friday talked on the phone during the show, which was a surprise, so I'm going to the main story on Friday this time. I would like to make a reverse surprise.
I haven't been on Kimura Subaru and Kaneda Tomoko's "Say You to Yoasobi Connect", so I'd like to go there too.
――The program has a motif of "Yoasobi" (lit. "night fun"). On the contrary, do you have a morning routine?
Komatsu: How about cleaning cat's poop (laughs)? I do this every morning. If I don't clean it, my cat won't stop squeaking, so there is no other way but wake up.
――Is there anything you would like to say to your partner Uesaka Sumire.
Komatsu: Hmm... Sumire seems to be listening at the time of the meeting, but actually, she is not. She often twists something in her hands. It's not that she is not listening to anything, but she seems to listen and not listen at the same time.
However, I think that it is more interesting because I think that I can get a first-time reaction on a new program. It's better to leave Sumire as it is, so I'd like to say, "I'll ask you to stay as you are," in both good and bad ways. I want her to do what she wants.
――New season starts in April, so what do you want to do and challenge this year?
Komatsu: Hmm... I'm a person who doesn't really have a hobby. Sumire is exactly the opposite, she has a lot of hobbies and doing a lot of things. When I wonder what I am going to do, I'm just taking a nap (laughs).
――Don't you sometimes have a hobby?
Komatsu: Sometimes. It's usually something like "just do a to-do list", so I want to be able to type in plus something.
By the way, when I saw the news that my favorite Kuraki Mai started skateboarding due to a longing for Conan from the beginning of this year, I got interested, saying, "Kuraki-san started skateboarding!"
――Finally, would you like to left a message for fans?
Komatsu: I will continue to be in charge of Wednesday. I think Sumire and I are still like usual, but with the addition of the third MC, Tokui Sora, as a new item, I think a completely different Wednesday will come out.
I think Wednesday has been and will continue to be a hit, but I hope you enjoy the live feeling that is unique to live-broadcast.
I hope I can help you with your daily stress relief. If you're stressed... I'm sorry. Please be healed the next day (laughs).
The industry's first original regular voice-over program, "Say You to Yoasobi (Nightlife with Voice Actors)," which is being distributed on the Anime CH of the new future TV "ABEMA," celebrated its 4th anniversary on April 2, 2021.
To celebrate the 4th anniversary and the start of the new season, Anime! Anime! conducted interviews with the voice actors in charge of each day of the week and asked them about their journey with "Say You to Yoasobi" and their enthusiasm for the 4th year.
This time, we interviewed Tuesday's MC, Uchida Maaya, and asked her how she plans to evolve "Healing Tuesday" with her partner, Shimono Hiro, who are now in their 3rd year together.
[Interview and text by Mori Motoyuki, photography by Fujita Ayumi].
--How did you feel when you first heard that you would be continuing as the MC for "Say You to Yoasobi 2021"?
Uchida: I was very happy. Every Tuesday, I come to the studio at the same time and make a show with the same people. I've been doing this for two years and it's become a routine, so I've been anxiously wondering if I'll be able to do it again next year, and I'll miss it if it disappears.
The staff asked me, "Will you continue as MC?" , so I answered immediately, "Of course, I would like to continue with Shimono-san." I was very relieved because I didn't know until the very last minute if I would continue, and I was more than happy to be able to continue MCing with Shimono-san again.
--Have there been any memorable projects on "Healing Tuesday"?
Uchida: The Tanabata episode where we wore "Tanabata costumes". We were both wearing different costumes, but we happened to rent our clothes from the same place, so when we stood side by side, it looked really good. On Tuesdays, we are allowed to wear different clothes for each season, but I was particularly impressed by the high level of perfection and the enthusiasm with which we were able to do it.
--Speaking of flippant projects, you also have fun with the board game "Ciao, Ciao" using different rules than the original.
Uchida: We played a lot of other board games on "Say You to Yoasobi 2020," but that one was particularly fun. We added new tricks and deviated from the original rules to play with our own unique rules, but no matter how crazy we got, Shimono-san would accept it, so we were free to play.
--What kind of day of the week would you like to make from the next season?
Uchida: Since the show is called "Healing Tuesdays," I would like to continue to aim for a show that makes everyone smile and feel relieved.
Also, the good thing about Tuesdays is that it is fun for children to watch, with cosplay and board games." It's called "Nightlife", so it's a nighttime show, but it's still an hour and a half that people can watch with their families.
At first, I was worried that I wasn't being aggressive enough, but on Tuesday, that part of the show became my personality and turned into a good thing. I'd like to keep that intact.
--Are there any projects you would like to do in the new season?
Uchida: I'd like to do a project related to baseball, which I love. In the second season, former professional baseball player Satozaki Tomoya visited us. I'd like to collaborate with people involved in baseball again or go to the ballpark.
Also, I'd like to have a collaboration of "Say You to Yoasobi" and "Pacific League" to create a project like "Challenge a Ugly Girl!” It would be great if we could do something like that. I'd like to make an announcement like "Pitcher ...... Wada".
Also, since Maeno-san (Maeno Tomoaki) is also a baseball fan, it would be interesting to have a baseball duel between the Tuesday team (Shimono and Uchida) and the Monday team (Yasumoto and Maeno).
--When I interviewed Maeno-san, he said, "This year, I definitely don't want to lose to Uchida-san.
Maeno-san is a big fan of the Yomiuri Giants, and they were defeated in the Japan Series two years in a row by the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks, which Uchida-san supports.
Uchida: Last year, we didn't let them win a single game in the Japan Series, so I wish we could!
As for the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks this year, they seemed to be finishing well when I watched their opening game. While they are trying out some of their younger players, their first team roster is as thick as ever, and they won three straight games against the Chiba Lotte Marines, a team they are not very good at, so that's good.
Also, the veteran players, commonly known as "Ojitaka," are very good. Matsuda Nobuhiro, Akashi Takeshi, Hasegawa Yuya, Kawashima Keizo and Wada Tsuyoshi, who is now 40 years old, are all expected to win as starting pitchers.
I would be very happy if all of these players could be my guests during the off-season.
--Are there any days of the week you would like to join?
Uchida: Any day of the week sounds interesting, but I'm curious about Friday's conversation between Seki-san (Seki Tomokazu) and Hatanaka-san (Hatanaka Tasuku) because I can't imagine what kind of conversation they'll have (lol). I think this is Seki-san's 4th year as MC, and he's a major figure in "Say You to Yoasobi" so I'd like to learn a lot from him.
On Wednesdays, there will be three girls, Komatsu-san (Komatsu Mikako), Uesaka-san (Uesaka Sumire), and Tokui-san (Tokui Sora). It would be fun if I showed up, saying 'Do you need a 4th girl?'
I had heard about "Destruction Wednesday" and was surprised when I saw them breaking down the door. I'm wondering what would happen if "Healing Tuesday" and "Destruction Wednesday" came together.
--Do you ever watch other days of the week?
Uchida: I often watch videos that come up on my Twitter timeline.
Also, it's not the show itself, but when the MCs of other days of the week are on TV or in other media, I tend to watch them. "Subaru-kun is making cola! "Oh, Seki-san," "It's Morikubo-san (Shotaro)," and so on. I feel a sense of camaraderie, like we're in different classes at the same school, so I'm curious.
--The show is associated with nighttime, but on the contrary, do you have a morning routine?
Uchida: I'm a big fan of pickled plums, and I look forward to eating them every morning. I even order them from a specialty store, and I like them so much that they were featured on the program, but I get swollen if I eat them at night, so I hold back and eat them in the morning.
I keep a box of various kinds of pickled plums and eat them randomly according to my mood at the time. I'm so confident that I can taste any kind of pickled plum I've had before.
They are also very good for the body, so when I don't eat rice, I dissolve them in hot water and use them as plum water.
--Is there anything you would like to say to your partner, Shimono Hiro?
Uchida: The longer we've known each other, the more I've learned that he does a lot of different things, and the more I learn about him, the more I realize how interesting he is.
I'd like to say, "Please be open-minded and wait for me!”
--Again, how is your combination with Shimono-san?
Uchida: If I were to use a game analogy, Shimono-san would hold up his shield and step forward to block out dangerous traps and such. After that, I would attack from behind with my sword, saying, "Swish, swish, yah! I didn't realize it at first, but over the past two years I've come to realize that this is the best combination. I would like to develop the combination further in the future.
--By the way, when I interviewed Shimono-san, he said, "Feel free to do whatever you want. He said, "My staff and I will take care of the processing.”
Uchida: I think we're saying about the same thing. ......! It's a great combination that we can understand each other (lol).
--Since it's a new season, what is something new you would you like to try this year?
Uchida: I want to make this a year of learning, so I want to challenge myself in English. Looking at my followers on Instagram, etc., I see that many of them are from China and other foreign countries, and I have a strong desire to communicate more to my overseas fans.
I feel that if I can convey my thoughts in my own words, they will be happy and my own world will expand. I don't have many opportunities to speak English in my daily life or at work, but I would like to challenge myself over the next few years.
--Finally, please give a message to your fans.
Uchida: I'm happy to announce that I'll be MCing with Shimono-san again in 2021. I'm sure many of you were wondering if we would be able to continue, but now that all the MCs are here for the new season, I promise to bring you a fun and smiling "Say You to Yoasobi 2021". Please watch "Say You to Yoasobi 2021" on Tuesdays at 10pm. Thank you very much.

Comments from Yuuki Aoi
―― How was it to play the character and sing the character theme song?
It was an extraordinary experience to play the character in the world I created from scratch. We had many meetings on the scenario and music, written the lyrics for the songs myself... The more time I put into this work, the more it becomes a part of me.
―― How was it to hear the cast members' voices and songs as the original author?
I asked those who I have confidence in their skill, so I had a prospect of the outcome, but they've made it even better than what I had expected! I knew they would be amazing! It's said that characters come to life when voices are given to them. I realized the true meaning of it by being on the production side.
―― Any words for your fans?
The songs, lyrics, cast, and images... I was given the privilege to create a work with everything I love! It's already amazing! And I know it will become even greater when it's done, so please look forward to it! I hope you will enjoy the Chimera Project!
Comments from the cast members
―― What was your first reaction to this project?
Kitou Akari as Monday: I thought Chimeras and characters inspired by the days of the week are innovative and exciting! The project was planned and drafted by my senpai, Yuuki-san, who I adore. I love the world that she creates, so this project is something I would look forward to, even if I wasn't involved in it!
Kotobuki Minako as Tuesday: Yuuki Aoi-chan and I have been friends for over 10 years, and it has been an honor. When she told me about this project, I knew it would be super exciting! And I was looking forward to seeing what Aoi-chan will create. When I saw the illustrations of the characters, they were so cute and made me happy to be a part of this project.
Amemiya Sora as Wednesday: At first, I couldn't wrap my head around this new idea of the days of the week and chimeras, but as I went through the character description and other settings, I instantly fell in love with the unique and charming characters, and this world I visited for the first time!
Tamura Mutsumi as Thursday: I was so excited by the super-cute characters! As I love furry characters, I couldn't resist their charm. They have such unique looks! I wonder what their personalities are going to be like. I can't wait to see the story.
Hayami Saori as Friday: When I was given the character description and saw the illustrations and settings, I became excited about this cute world. It's completely different than ours, but at the same time, has a very familiar vibe to it, making it a funs story. The four-panel manga was also full of humor and gave me soothed my heart. Above all, I loved the dazzling world created by Yuuki Aoi-san.
Sakura Ayane as Saturday: I always wondered what was going on inside Yuuki-san's head, so I thought this a chance to take a peek, so I accepted the offer without hesitation. Separate from this impure motive, I was fascinated by the refreshing characters, and am excited to see the future along with them.
Matsuoka Yoshitsugu as Professor: The title Chimera Project made me think of chimera monsters, but I was surprised at how wrong I was. They're so cute! Cuteness is overflowing all over! It makes me want to cherish them.
―― How was it to play the character and sing the character theme song?
Kitou Akari as Monday: In recording the character's voice and song, Yuuki-san said, "You don't have to make a voice. I think your usual voice perfectly matches Monday," so I could perform with a relaxed, easy-going voice, almost the same as my natural voice.
The catchy melody and lyrics of the character theme song created an amazing world, and I couldn't stop singing it for the whole day, after the recording! It was fun to sing along with everyone, each with a strong personality, and I really enjoyed singing in different styles for regular Monday and awakened Monday!
Kotobuki Minako as Tuesday: The first recording made me tense as usual. Also, now that I live in the U.K., the remote recording in a studio in Japan made me a bit anxious at first. But Tuesday said, "I'm the best!" and went on with high spirits and tried several patterns for the take.
I myself also enjoyed the recording, and I want to thank Tuesday for making me feel that way!
Amemiya Sora as Wednesday: It felt fresh to play a character with beautiful looks but is boyish, and is a chimera. The recording for the character theme song was as if the cast members were there as Chimerios rather than people. The world that the song and lyrics depict is very unique, and each of the processes, such as the adlibs we recorded in front of the song in words incomprehensible to humans, was like building up their world, and I really enjoyed it.
Tamura Mutsumi as Thursday: I couldn't resist the motherly character, both cute and cool! I also love how his hardship exudes. Thursday isn't good at singing, which I can empathize with, since I get nervous for the recordings... But I enjoyed the synchronization with him in starting nervous and tense, but gradually enjoying the singing.
Hayami Saori as Friday: Friday is cheerful and sociable, but I think he also has a melancholic and delicate side hidden within. Fundamentally, he's an entertainer, who loves to communicate with others and entertain them, so I tried to portray that side of him in the character theme song. The song itself has a fun vibe of everyone singing together and Yuuki-san's lyrics were so cute! I had a great time singing it.
Sakura Ayane as Saturday: It may be the first time for me to sing in a character song so freely. They really let me perform the way I wanted. Yuuki-san gave me great advice before the recording, telling me that I should subtract the extra from my full performance. But I don't know if I subtracted or added in the recording for the song, haha.
Matsuoka Yoshitsugu as Professor: In a word, he's perverted. But not in a way that makes trouble for the chimeras. He's those "lovable" weirdos. I had a good time playing him. Kind, full of curiosity, faithful to his own desires, and above all... He pervertedly loves the chimeras.
―― Any words for your fans?
Kitou Akari as Monday: I'm truly flattered to be able to join this project, so I'll do my best to make this project enjoyable for all the fans as both a performer and a fan! I hope you'll immerse yourself in the cute and mysterious world of the Chimerios!
Kotobuki Minako as Tuesday: Isn't it exciting that the days of the week, which we are so familiar with, are given such cute portrayals? (laughs) It's interesting how you can empathize with the sense of each day of the week and discover new emotions towards each day, through the characters. They all have pure minds and are so cute, so I hope you will get to know them and love them! Please enjoy!
Amemiya Sora as Wednesday: I haven't had many opportunities to play an animal character, and this was a new genre of anime to me, so at first, I was quite nervous, but as I got familiar with their story, I got to love them more and more, and I realized that this is how you open doors to new worlds. This project is a door and also is a key to the door to people like me. We look forward to seeing you.
Tamura Mutsumi as Thursday: I'm really excited by the thought of being able to be part of this project! It's completely original, and there'll probably be many stories I don't know, but I want to take my time to enjoy each story. The cute and unique characters having a good time will surely soothe your heart. Let's take a look into the Kimerios' live together!
Hayami Saori as Friday: Since the characters are inspired by the days of the week, something we all are familiar with, so I think you will enjoy the show with empathy with each character. I hope you will enjoy imagining the relationship each character has with each other. The song is cute and has a sound expanse like that of a parade. You can feel the characters' individuality at key points, so please listen carefully to the details, too!
Sakura Ayane as Saturday: If the mysterious Chimerios are stuck in the back of your mind, you're probably already a fan of this title. Let's go see the future of the Chimerios together!
Matsuoka Yoshitsugu as Professor: I'm sure this work will soothe everyone's hearts. Wanting to know what happens to the characters, wanting to watch over them... You will feel various emotions flowing from your heart. Let's create the future of these chimeras together!

It has been announced that Hayami Saori and Ogura Yui will be joining the cast in the coming-of-age fantasy film "Kimi wa Kanata", which is fully set up in Ikebukuro (Toshima City), the land of manga and animation. Also, the staff and the new cast members have talked about their impressions on the work itself and Ikebukuro, which is the main setting of this movie.
"Kimi wa Kanata" is the first challenge as a feature-length animated film for director Sena Yoshinobu. The main cast includes Matsumoto Honoka, who is known for her role as the main character's co-worker Sumiko in the NHK TV drama series “Hiyokko”, and Seto Toshiki, who is known for his role as Kamen Rider Brave in “Kamen Rider Ex-Aid”.
Mio (voiced by Matsumoto Honoka) cares about her childhood friend Arata (voiced by Seto Toshiki), but their relationship appears to be complicated since she can't convey her true feelings to him.
One day, when she is on her way to reconcile with Arata, who had fought over a little thing with her, she is involved in a traffic accident.
When Mio regains consciousness, she opens her eyes and sees a mysterious world unfolding around her.
Hayami will be playing the role of Kuki-chan, a strange girl who helps Mio who has lost her way into the mysterious world, while Ogura will be voicing Mio's friend in the real world, Madoka.
"Kimi wa Kanata" will premiere at TOHO Cinemas in Ikebukuro and others on Nov. 27, 2020.
<Full commentary is below>
Hayami Saori as Kuki-chan
■Joining "Kimi wa Kanata"
Kuki-chan is a cute little girl dressed up in a kimono who, in the story, plays the role of a guide for the protagonist, Mio.
The director explained to me that she's like a mentor to Mio, a grandmother in the countryside.
In the recording studio, I felt motivated in front of the mic thanks to the enthusiasm of the staff for the film.
About the performance, I was told that basically there was no NG, so there was no limit to what I could express with my voice. In order to make it even better, I went through many retakes with the director.
■About the main setting of Ikebukuro, known as the holy land of animation
I've been to Ikebukuro many times, and I think that the combination of the detailed and realistic cityscape of Ikebukuro with the fantastical events that take place in this work was so unusual that drew me in.
It is a work that will give you the opportunity to reflect on the connections between people in life, on your decisions made by yourself, and on your expression of honest thoughts to someone else. Please, enjoy the movie!
Ogura Yui as Madoka
■Joining "Kimi wa Kanata"
Before the recording, the director explained to me the worldview and the story behind the film, along with its characters. I was overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of the film from him and the strength of his beliefs, and I felt that his straightforward passion for his work was directly connected to the charm of the film.
During the dubbing session, I was able to work with Matsumoto Honoka, who is active as an actress.
As a voice actor and actor, we normally work in different fields, but this time we were working together while respecting each other's acting skills and talking about various things as we recorded. As a performer, it was very inspiring, being a fun and lively place full of passion and motivation.
■About the main setting of Ikebukuro, known as the holy land of animation
Ikebukuro is one of the greatest places that everyone in the city has visited at least once. In particular, anime and video game fans consider it as almost their second home.
As a chance to experience the deeper side of Ikebukuro, I think that, if fans could visit the holy land that appears in the film, it would help them to understand better the real charm of this work.
Sena Yoshinobu as Director / Scriptwriter / Original Author
■The reason behind the choice of Hayami-san and Ogura-san as the new cast members
I only had the pleasure of speaking to Hayami-san once a long time ago, and she left me with the impression that she was an "innocent person". When I was working on the character of Kuki-chan, the first thing I thought of was "an innocent existence", and that's where my memories of her came from. I thought it would be great if Hayami-san could give life to the character, so I offered her the job.
I had the opportunity to work with Ogura-san several times on set and see how his characters and acting changed.
Every time she was voicing a completely different character, from brisk heroines to gentle and mysterious characters, so I finally asked her to play the role of Madoka because I thought she could express the complex emotions and situations that she has inside, even though she seems to have no worries on the surface.
■Impressions after finishing the recordings
After the dubbing session, when I explained to them how I made this film, Hayami-san started crying in the middle of it.
I was touched by the moment, and I thought she was a truly pure person.
Also, I was always amazed at Ogura-san's ability to read and comprehend scripts. She didn't just play the character of Madoka straightly, she was able to show the subtle nuances in her performance by deeply understanding the film direction and the structure of the story.
I hope you will be able to see the pure Kiku-chan and Madoka's subtle performance at the theaters.

【Hayami Saori, playing Uzaki Tsuki】
Tsuki-san is always kind, friendly, and cute when she gets panicked to help others. I enjoyed playing such a character.
The gap between the monologue in her head and her actual behaviors is very interesting, so please enjoy it through communication between Hana-chan and Sakurai-kun.
Hello both to my fans and to whom I see for the first time!
My name is Kano, and I will be playing the opening theme song for "Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out!" called "Nadame Sukashi Negotiation" together with Uzaki-chan.
The song is super catchy, and little annoyance is very addictive that makes you repeat the song over and over, so please get addicted to it together with the anime itself!

Irene Adler, voiced by Hikasa Youko
I'm Hikasa Youko, who will be voicing Irene.
I started to read the original manga during the audition, and I got attracted to the beautiful art and the unpredictable future developments.
Irene is strong-willed, refreshing, and brave enough to wander from place to place in different occupations and genders.
I enjoyed voicing this unrestricted character as she sometimes showed a mature expression while at other times, a mischievous expression.
Do look forward to the developments of Irene in her participation in the mental warfare of the Moriarty family and Sherlock as well as her interactions with them.

Asakura Yoh: CV Hikasa Youko
Q1. Could you tell us about the charm of this work?
I think that it is because of Takei Hiroyuki's skills in drawing things that are usually associated with the fear, spirits, graves, and Osorezan, in a pop style.
Maybe ghosts aren't scary, but if there are Amidamaru and others, who I would love to meet! I think that the attractive character image is one of the strong points.
I love Yuru, who every time finishes with a gag, and everyone's facial expressions at that moment.
The music is also great, and I remember that Hayashibara-san's songs "Over Soul," "Northern lights," and "brave heart" shook my childhood heart at that time.
Q2. Could you tell us about your feelings for playing the character Asakura Yoh?
To be honest, I felt a lot of pressure!
But I'm the one... I love Yoh, Anna, and their friends, and I want to play Yoh in a way that only I can do.
Some of my colleagues are veterans who I saw before I became a voice actress.
Being surrounded by such people and having a conversation together during recording is a blessed chance that I haven't got before in my acting career.
It would be great if I could be like that, just as Yoh grow little by little and is recognized by the people around.
I will do my best, even if it's hard! Thank you for your support!
Amidamaru: CV Konishi Katsuyuki
Q1. Could you tell us about the charm of this work?
As a guy, I like battles. With enemies who gradually become stronger.
I was especially excited to see what kind of spirits would come out. A spirit is a spirit, so anything is possible, right? LOL
And there are no bad guys. Each person has their own feelings.
And Yoh-kun's way of life is wonderful. "Everything will work out in the end" is a good saying.
Q2. Please give a few words to your fans who are looking forward to you playing Amidamaru again.
As the lyrics of "Over Soul" say, "Revived", this is also thanks to everyone who has loved and supported "SHAMAN KING" for many years. I would like to run through with Haden and Amidamaru. I am looking forward to seeing Amidamaru again.
I'm with you. I'm really excited! Thank you very much! "SHAMAN KING" Thank you! !!
Osorezan Anna: CV Hayashibara Megumi
Q1. Could you tell us about the charm of this work?
Good adjustment, just good adjustment.
True strength, pride, and grace
True kindness, weakness, and escape.
It is a work that shakes the soul that cannot be seen at a glance.
Q2. Please give a few words to your fans who are looking forward to you playing Anna again.
Sorry to keep you waiting.
Somehow, I was chosen again.
I just wanted to relax a bit, but the world isn't so sweet. I'm going to go ahead and tell you.
They're going to do something they don't want to do.
Don't complain about it all over the place where they can't see your face. From the landlady.
Hao: CV Takayama Minami
Q1. Could you tell us about the charm of this work?
Not to mention the charm of the story and characters, I think the charm is that it is full of themes to which you can sympathize with from your own experience. Friendship and love, family and siblings, courage, bonds, strength, etc. I like to see the essence that doesn't change at any time in battle.
It's also great because it's so nostalgic.
Q2. Please give a few words to your fans who are looking forward to you playing Hao again.
Thank you everyone who has been supporting "SHAMAN KING" for a long time. I also missed it when I went to the original painting exhibition and decorating goods, but I never thought that I will play Hao again. I want to turn this luck into power and put up a fight. I'm looking forward to awakening Hao from his sleep. When that time comes ... Thank you for your cooperation.

time passes so weirdly, so I feel like it was just a second since our production started...（phew) It took a long time, so we could make it in a even more respectful way. Please look forward to it!
Sugita Tomokazu (Usahara Tobikichi)
When we hear 'sick' 'insane', would we accept it with care or hate it?
I think neither one is right.
Usahara is so unfortunate and is always unhappy, but I will never get disappointed with him.
Nakamura Yuichi (Kumagai Mitsuo)
It was supposed to be released in 2020, but thank you for waiting!
We will deliver it to you with even more power!
The wonderful story presented by the cast in a good mood ! Please do not miss it!!
Miyano Mamoru (Daga Iketeru)
I am so grateful that "Uramichi Oniisan" will become an anime adaptation, and I could join the amazing cast!
Recording is well along, but I cannot help laughing during it.
I want to deliver it to the fans as soon as possible！
We are singing the inserted songs as well, so please look forward to it!
Mizuki Nana (Tadano Utano)
I always burst out laughing every week while recording for the lines of the unique characters including Uramichi Oniisan!(laugh)
As Utano, I want you to see singing scenes!
The words that appear in the manga have this melody!? This tune!? You will be able to enjoy it!
Please watch the broadcast!

The latest visual for "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" has been released at "Jump Festa 2021 ONLINE" held on December 19 and 20, 2020. At the same time, special PV and cast members were announced.
In the visual released this time, Kawaki and "Kara" members, the most important people of the "The Vessel" arc, appeared. The PV is full of newly drawn cutscenes that show the mysterious Kawaki in action. You can enjoy the encounter between Kawaki and Borutot, and the hot battle action.
Moreover, the voice actors who will play "Kara" members have are also been announced. Uchida Yuma will voice Kawaki, a mysterious boy with the same mark as Boruto, Nakamura Yuuichi as Kashin Koji, and Otsuka Akio as Amado.
Also, Kuwashima Houko, Miyake Kenta, Terashima Junta, and others will appear. Comments from the cast and the author, Ikemoto Mikio, have arrived.
The TV anime series "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" is currently being broadcast on TV Tokyo.
Uchida Yuma as Kawaki
I'm Uchida Yuma, who is voicing Kawaki! The first manga I bought in my life was "Naruto". It's unbelievable for me to be part of "Boruto", which inherits that world view and spins a new story, and I'm very happy. I am overwhelmed by Kawaki's sharp eyes and strong presence, but I hope I can fulfill this role. Please look forward to it!
Nakamura Yuuichi as Kashin Koji
I chased the original from "Naruto" to the role of "Kashin Koji", but it fits quite well now!
(Laughs) I'm just grateful that I can play Kashin Koji who I got interested in reading "Boruto". Just recently, the identity in the comics was revealed, but... I'm excited! I would like to play the scene as soon as possible, and I will do my best to work on the TV series.
Otsuka Akio as Amado
My name is Otsuka Akio and I will be playing Amado in the "Boruto" series. Looking back, I've been involved since the time of "Naruto", and I'm honored to be part of the work again. Amado seems to be a hard character to deal with, but I will walk with him through the story of Shinobi to the future. I'm looking forward to your continued support for the manga and the TV anime series.
Kuwashima Houko as Delta
I will play Delta, a member of "Kara"!
Delta is a sly, courageous, and eccentric character, and she's a very fun character to play. Also, there are only reliable people in the team as co-stars, and I am happy to be able to participate there. Right now, I want to perform against Boruto as soon as possible... I feel like praying that the day will be as early as possible (laughs). Thank you for your support!
Miyake Kenta as Boro
I'm Miyake Kenta. This time I will be in charge of Boro, one of the members of the "Kara".
Anyway, he's a mystery. I'm playing him, but I don't know where he ends, and I'm terrified about what kind of darkness Boro will show in the future. I feel that he can be one of the threats for Boruto and his friends, so I would like to rampage to the extent when Boruto is tattered.
Terashima Junta as Code
I've been reading "Naruto" since elementary school, so I'm really happy to be able to appear in the sequel "Boruto". Code is a mysterious character, so every time I get a new script, I discover something new. What kind of secret does he hide? What is his deal with Boruto? Please look forward to future developments!
Last year I commented, "Kawaki finally will speak in the anime!", and this time Kawaki really moves and speaks!
They will be brought to life by the divine work of the anime staff and voice actors and will show even more charm that is comparable to Boruto and Naruto.
Currently, in the manga, a deadly battle with a certain strong enemy has entered a climax, and we are about to reach a turning point.
Do you remember the scene at the beginning of the first episode?
Yes, that scene where Boruto and Kawaki in the form of a young man confront each other.
I can't tell you the entire story, but it's not too far when they show their "grown-up" form.
Why are they hostile?
Is Naruto in danger? Don't miss the series of raging billows!
