The stage play based on the game "Project Sakura Wars", "Project Sakura Wars the Stage" has been announced to have 8 performances during Mar. 5 to Mar. 8, 2020.
Also, new members of the main cast were revealed; Takahashi Rina as Shinonome Hatsuho, Kanchiku Yui as Mochizuki Azami, Hirayu Juri as Anastasia Palma, and Oki Natsume as Claris. Together, the main visual of the "Flower Division" assembling with Amamiya Sakura (performed by Sekine Yuuna) in the center has been released.

"Project Sakura Wars the Stage" is based on the latest Dramatic 3D Action Adventure "Project Sakura Wars" (released on Dec. 12, 2019). The story takes place in the fictional imperial city, Tokyo in the Taisho period, depicting the "Imperial Combat Revue" fighting against evil.

Four additional casts to perform along with Sekine (as Amamiya Sakura) as members of theImperial Combat Revue・Flower Division were announced.
Takahashi as Shinonome Hatsuho, the "Edokko" (person born in Edo) downtown girl, who is the poster girl and shrine maiden of Shinonome Shrine. Kanchiku as Mochizuki Azami, the descendant of Mochizuki style ninja with outstanding skills of martial arts. Hirayu as Anastasia Palma, who is gifted with the talent of singing and performing. Oki as Claris, the pretty and intelligent book girl, who is also the successor of black magic "Juumadou".
The main visual depicts the charm and bravery of the five girls of the Flower Division with Sakura in the center, and the costumes are well recreated showing the determination they put into making them.

By the way, Tanaka Kouhei, who is in charge of the music of the "Sakura Wars" series, was at the audition to judge the vocals of the cast. Tanaka speaks highly of the cast saying, "Many talented performers came to the audition making it very difficult to decide the cast. The five members that were chosen had outstanding singing and performing skills among all of them with great looks giving them a strong presence as if the Flower Division really existed."
Katano Tetsu, the producer of "Project Sakura Wars" said, "We, the game production team, are also helping with the costumes, props, and screenplay. We are very excited about having Kouhei-sensei on the team."

"Project Sakura Wars" released in Dec. 2019 will become a stage play in Mar. 2020. It's been 6 years since the last "Sakura Wars" stage play of the New York Star Division in 2014.

Unlike the Sakura Kayo Show, this play will have stage actors chosen through auditions to perform as the characters instead of the voice actors. Many talented performers came to the audition making it very difficult to decide the cast. The five members that were chosen had outstanding singing and performing skills among all of them with great looks giving them a strong presence as if the Flower Division really existed.

Sekine-san as Sakura is charming yet mature and though being young, has much experience and charisma. Takahashi-san as Hatsuho has a shining presence. Hirayu-san comes from Takarazuka (a musical theater troupe) and everyone was convinced that she is the one to perform Anastasia, as expected. Kanchiku-san performed Azami perfectly, with gesture (only from the information of the script), at the audition. And last but not least, Oki-san had an elegant presence with strength hidden inside, just as Claris does.

What I want to say is that great actors have come together. We still have much work left in the songs, dance, performance, and personalities of the characters, but I have no worries. Please look forward to the stage in March!
