To commemorate the 50th anniversary since “Lupin the Third” a received TV anime adaptation, “The Mystery of Mamo”, the first animated film, “Lupin the 3rd vs. Detective Conan: The Movie”, and others will be broadcast on WOWWOW from July 2021. The lineup for broadcast in August has also been announced.
“Lupin the Third” is based on a manga written by Monkey Punch, and started broadcasting in 1971. It is a pioneer of anime, which can be enjoyed by even adults.
During the 50th anniversary special, 6 animated films, including “The Mystery of Mamo”, the memorable first animated film, “Lupin the 3rd vs. Detective Conan: The Movie”, a crossover title that drew attention, and “Lupin III: The First”, the first 3DCG film of the series, 3 “LUPIN THE IIIRD” OVAs written in harder plots, and TV specials, which have randomly produced since 1989, from #1 “Lupin the Third: Bye Bye, Lady Liberty” to #12 “Lupin the Third: $1 Money Wars / Missed by a Dollar”, will be broadcast.
Moreover, the lineup for August has also been announced. A total of 14 TV specials will be broadcast on WOWOW for the first time, from #13 in 2001 “Lupin the Third: Alcatraz Connection”, where Lupin and others were put in Alcatraz prison, to #26 in 2019 “Lupin the Third: Goodbye Partner”, where Lupin attempts to prove the reason why Jigen betrayed him.
