A collaborative event commemorating the 30th anniversary of the TV anime “Ninjaboy Rantaro” started on April 7, 2023 at “NAMJATOWN”, an indoor theme park in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. Mini games, original goods, and collaboration food will be available.
“Ninjaboy Rantaro” is an anime based on the ninja gag manga by Amako Sobe. April 2023 marks the 30th anniversary of the start of the series, and the 31st series began airing on April 3 as part of the “Nintama 30” anniversary.
The first broadcast was on April 10, 1993. This year, April 10 is “Nintama Day” and the episode of that day when Rantaro came to live with Kirimaru and Shinbee will be broadcasted.
The title of this collaborative event is “Ninjaboy Rantaro in NANJATOWN: Egg Searching Stage”. The event includes a mini-attraction “Egg Searching Stage,” mini-games “Koro koro Egg Rolling” and “Exciting Egg Lottery,” and other events related to searching for eggs. In addition, 19 “ninja eggs” who attend Ninjutsu Gakuen and their first-year class subject teacher, Doi Hansuke, will appear in a newly-drawn life-size illustration disguised as a rabbit.
The “Egg Searching Stage” is an attraction where visitors can help search for eggs. Visitors choose one of 20 characters to search for eggs with, and answer questions displayed on a monitor as they search for the eggs. Depending on the results, participants can win prizes based on their success and participation.
Desserts and foods with motifs of artworks and characters will be sold at restaurants in Nanja Town. The menu includes “Colorful Egg Search Plate,” “First Year Rabbit Ice Cream Cup,” “Fourth Year Soda Drink,” etc. Each menu item comes with a random “bromide” (10 types in total) with a picture associated with the menu item.
The original goods are also not to be missed. The lineup includes “Heart-Shaped Can Badge Collection [1]” (total 10 types/random) using life-size illustrations, standard “Acrylic Stand” (total 20 types), and “Name Key Chain Collection [1]” (total 10 types/random). The goods are also available at “Namco Parks Online Store”.
The collaboration event will be held in Umeda, Osaka from June 2023, following the Tokyo event. The same mini-games as at the Tokyo event will be available at the “Namco Parks Online Store” until May 22, 2023 at 11:00 pm, so be sure to check it out.
