The TV anime “Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury” Season 2 will be broadcast every Sunday at 6:00 pm on the new future TV “ABEMA” starting on April 9, 2023. To coincide with the start of Season 2 broadcast, all episodes of Season 1 will be broadcast on April 8 and 9, and special programs aired on March 16 and April 6.
“Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury,” the latest in the Gundam TV anime series, is set in an era when numerous corporations have expanded into space and established huge economic blocks. The story depicts Suletta Mercury, a girl from the remote planet Mercury, who is transferred to Asticassia School of Technology operated by the Benerit Group, the largest mobile suit manufacturer in the world.
The series attracted attention even before its broadcast for its unique setting, including the first female protagonist in the TV series and a story set in a school, etc. Even after Season 1 began airing, the series attracted attention for its detailed story with mysteries, fascinating characters, many memorable lines, dynamic battle scenes, etc, and became a hot topic on social media. Season 2, which will start in April 2023, is also attracting much attention.
The free broadcast of “Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury” Season 2 will begin on April 13, and will be aired every Thursday from 10:30 pm. In addition, the latest episode will be exclusively available on “ABEMA Premium” from 6:00 pm every Sunday starting April 9, and the latest episode will be available for free for one week from 6:00 pm every Thursday starting April 13. “ABEMA Premium” users will be able to enjoy the anime ahead of the free broadcast.
Also, to coincide with the start of Season 2, all episodes of “Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury” Season 1 and a special program will be broadcast for free. The episodes of Season 1 will be broadcast three times on April 8 and 9, and they will be streamable for free for one week after the broadcasts.
Furthermore, on March 16 at 1:30 am midnight, a special program “It’s not too late! Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury Special Program”, featuring digests of episodes 7 to 12 accompanied by narration by the casting members, will be broadcast. And another special broadcast “Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury Last Minute Before Season 2 Special Program”, which features a digest of episodes 1 to 12 with a newly recorded narration, will be broadcast from 10:30 am, April 6.
