“ONE PIECE FILM RED,” the latest theatrical version of the anime “One Piece,” has drawn 6.65 million people in the 16 days since its release on August 6, 2022, and its box office revenue exceeded 9.2 billion Japanese yen.

The film premiered on August 6 and had a rocket start, drawing 1.57 million people and grossing over 2.25 billion Japanese yen on August 6 and 7. The film did not lose its momentum, and one week after its release, its box-office revenue surpassed 5 billion yen, making it the highest-grossing film in the series within 10 days of its release. Even after the Bon holidays, the popularity did not slow down, with the number of visitors reaching 6.65 million and the box-office revenue surpassing 9.2 billion Japanese yen in the first 16 days of its release.

The third visitor gift, “ONE PIECE” Comics Volume 4/4 “UTA”, will be distributed in a limited edition of 3 million copies nationwide from August 27. It seems that this momentum and excitement will only continue to grow.

The film has also continued to make a splash on the music scene, and on August 19, “FILM RED” won five Oricon Music Ranking awards, which was the first time this year and the third time in history.

Expectations are high for the film to exceed 10 billion yen in box-office revenue and to set new records even beyond that.
“ONE PIECE FILM RED” is currently available in theaters nationwide.
