The production of the season 3 of “KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World!” and the TV anime adaptation of the spinoff “KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!” have been announced. Along with the visuals, celebration messages and illustrations by the staff have also been unveiled.

“KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World!” is another world comedy based on the light novel series by Akatsuki Natsume that is being published by “Kadokawa Sneaker Bungo”. The gamer-lover and shut-in, Satou Kazuma, was reincarnated in another world while dragging the troublemaker and useless Goddess Aqua with him due to a certain circumstance. The story depicts their adventure in another world together with the eighth-grader syndrome magician Megumin and the female knight Darkness with the non-stop delusions.
Season 1 of the TV anime series started broadcasting in 2016, followed by season 2 in 2017, and the movie “KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World– Legend of Crimson” in 2019. The characters have also appeared in the cross-over works “Isekai Quartet” series.

The announcement on the TV anime season 3 and “KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!” were made on “KonoSuba Channel Special Program: Unveiling of new information quest special” that was broadcast on the YouTube “KADOKAWA Anime Channel” on May 28.

For the TV anime season 3, under the general director Kanasaki Takaomi, the staff consists of director Abe Yuji, series composer Uezu Makoto, and character designer Kikuta Koichi, and the animation production is handled by Drive. The announcement visual depicting Kazuma, Aqua, Megumin, and Darkness has been unveiled.
On the other hand, “KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!” is a spinoff that depicts the story of the adorer of explosion magic Megumin before her encounter with Kazuma and others. For the TV anime, under the director Abe, the staff consists of the supervisor Kanasaki, series composer Uezu, and character designer Kikuta, and the animation production is handled by Drive. The teaser visual depicting Megumin from this work has been unveiled.

Other than that, the recitation of “KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World!” will be held on July 3, at Hall A of Japan Pavilion, Tokorozawa Sakura Town, Saitama. The recitation will be on booklet by Akatsuki “KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! Crimson Demon’s Village Arc” that was given as the first week watchers’ freebies of “KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World– Legend of Crimson”.
The cast members are Fukushima Jun, Amamiya Sora, Takahashi Rie, Kayano Ai, Toyosaki Ai, and Inada Tetsuya. An after-talk will also be held.
