NTV ‘Friday Roadshow’ will start off 2022 with Studio Ghibli Movies ‘Spirited Away’ and ‘Porco Rosso’. The broadcast will take place on January 7th and 14th.

The first broadcast in 2022 will feature ‘Spirited Away’ on January 7th. The film is directed by Hayao Miyazai and is a globally-popular masterpiece. It has won ‘The 75th Academy Award’ Animated Feature Film Category and ‘Berlin International Film Festival 2002’ Golden Bear Award. A stage play is also scheduled for 2022.

On January 14th in the following week, ‘Porco Rosso’ will be on air.
Projecting himself on the main character, the director Hayao Miyazaki tells what it means to him to fly in the sky. 2022 also marks the 30th anniversary since the release.

In 2022, Ghibli is also opening ‘Ghibli Park’, a park that recreates the world of Ghibli movies. ‘Friday Roadshow’ will be a perfect way to start off the Ghibli year.

The broadcast date is January 7th, 2021, from 9 to 11:34 pm for ‘Spirited Away’ and January 14th from 9 to 10:54 pm for ‘Porco Rosso’. Both will be aired on NTV ‘Friday Roadshow’.
