To celebrate the 35th anniversary of the anime “Saint Seiya” in 2021, the visuals and video of Gemini Saga and Sagittarius Aiolos have been released. Also, a special webpage dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the anime has been opened.
“Saint Seiya” is an anime based on the manga by Kurumada Masami serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump” from 1985. The “Cloths”, armor inspired by constellations, and the story based on Greek mythology gained popularity. The anime started on October 11, 1986, and it has marked its 35th anniversary in 2021.
The newly drawn visuals by Himeno Misato and videos of the Gold Saints celebrating the 35th anniversary were pre-released at the “Tamashii Nation 2021” from November 18 to 21. Along with the opening of the special webpage for the 35th anniversary of the anime, it was released again on YouTube “Toei Animation Museum Channel”.
The newly released characters are “Gemini Saga” and “Sagittarius Aiolos”, who was born on November 30. For the videos, the “Sanctuary Arc” from the first TV anime was made split into 3: Gemini version as “The Gemini Saint”, “Gemini Saga” version, and “Sagittarius Aiolos” version. Let’s look back on the memorable scenes with Seiya and the other characters.
Marking its 35th anniversary, the anime “Saint Seiya” is getting even more exciting and raising expectations. Stay tuned for the next characters to be released.
