September 25 is Ise Mariya’s birthday.

Ise Mariya made her debut in mid-2000’s. Since her debut, she played various roles until today, from female character to even boys.
She appeared in various works in 2021, including “The Promised Neverland”, “The Idaten Deities Known Only Peace”, “Evangeliuon: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upton a Time”, and “Healin’ Good Pretty Cure: Big Transformation! The Town of Dreams!!”.

Here at Anime!Anime!, to celebrate Ise Mariya’s birthday, we conducted the reader’s survey titled, “Who is your favorite character played by Ise Mariya?”. We received a total of 183 answers between September 11 to 18.
The female made up majority slightly with 60%, while the male readers made up approximately 40%. The young readers made up the majority, with teens made up approximately 50% and 20’s made up approximately 30%.

■Boy Characters Dominated the Ranking!

1st Place

The 1st place was Ray from “The Promised Neverland”. The support rating was approximately 21%.

Ray is a boy who belongs to the oldest children group in Grace Field, where the orphans live together. The comments to him said, “He is cool because he is always cool and smart. He moves my heart when he reveals his feeling, and Ise-san’s boys voice enhance it into even more emotional” and “Rei’s voice, which is filled with composure and passion, can be played by Ise-san only”.

2nd Place

The 2nd place was Kirua Zoldic by “HUNTER x HUNTER” (2nd Series). He was only 1 vote behind the top.

Comments mentioned the relationship with Gon and those said, “He respects the protagonist Gon and I like how he speaks and behaves maturely” and “Although he was educated well to become an assassin, his facial expression became kind after he met with Gon”. Others commented, “He is the character which made me love Ise-san’s boy voice”.

3rd Place

The 3rd place was Kasugano Urara/Cure Lemonade from “Yes! Pretty Cure 5”. The support rating was approximately 19%.

The comments mentioned how she matched with the character working as a newbie idol by saying, “I first met with Ise Mariya-san through ‘Pretty Cure’. I loved how the character is working toward her dream and how it matched nicely with Ise-san’s matching”, “Her voice with cuteness toughness matched nicely with Lemonade” and “I like how Ise-san and Urara grew up together over 2 years! I also like cute character song as well”.

To Yurika from “Pokemon XY”: “She is innocent but reliable at the same time. She is always with Dedenne.”
To Kushinada Nemuru from “Okami Kakushi”: “She is from the family that ruled city of Jouga, and has reliable and beautiful voice suitable for a class president, atmosphere that even overwhelms the adults and weakness that comes from unbelievable pressure that she feels every day, and she (Ise Mariya) plays them all fullest.”

To Beta from “Inazuma Eleven GO: Chrono Stone”: “I learned about Ise Mariya-san from this character. It was impressive how he distinguished cute and low voice.”
Regg from “Made in Abyss”: “Her voice matched perfectly with Regg’s kind atmosphere. I often cries together with acting when she expresses the burst of sadness.”

In 2021 version, “The Promised Neverland”, which had the 2nd season being broadcast, ranked on the top. “HUTNER x HUNTER” (2nd series) is currently in the middle of rebroadcast and “Yes! Pretty Cure 5” appeared in the Pretty Cure movie in upcoming spring.
