“honto” has announced the ranking on the sales of the original work of the summer anime that will start in July 2021.

The ranking is based on the sales from January 1, 2021 to June 11, 2021, on the hybrid integration bookstore honto, including from the online bookstore (both physical and e-book) of the honto website, Maruzen, Junkudou bookstore, and Bunkyodou.
This is applicable to the anime (inclusive of anime that have 2 cour) that has announced their broadcast date as at June 28, 2021.

The 1st place is volume 17 of “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime”, where the anime adaptation season 2 part 2 is highly anticipated. This work has receive double difference when compare to the 2nd place.
This is a long series as it has continued until volume 17, and it gives an impression that many fans are waiting for the sequel. Based on the purchasing data of this bookstore, this work is being supported by males in their thirties and forties are the highest, accounting for approximately 40%.

The 2nd place is volume 6 of “My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!”. Females in their thirties and forties has accounted for around 40% of the sale. This ranked-in work, volume 6 comes with an “e-book limited original manga”, so do support it if you are a fan.

The 3rd place is volume 4 of “Girlfriend, Girlfriend”. This is the fastest manga of Kodansha’s “Weekly Shounen Magazine” to get an anime adaptation as it is only 8 months since the serialization started on Issue 14 of 2020. Male in their twenties and teens has accounted for around half of the sales.

The other works are volume 4 of “The Duke of Death and His Maid” in 4th place, volume 19 of “Spirit Chronicles” in 5th place, volume 1 of “The Detective Is Already Dead” in 6th place, volume 9 of “Peach Boy Riverside” in 7th place, volume 11 of “Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid” in 8th place, volume 14 of “How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom” in 9th place, and volume 3 of “Ore, Tsushima” in 10th place.
