For which manga would you like to see an anime adaptation? (Incomplete manga section) 3rd place went to “Detective Conan: Zero’s Tea Time”, 2nd to “The Apothecary Diaries”… Some Web manga series has been ranked!

In Japan, a lot of anime titles are broadcast in every cour, these lineups often come from manga.

In the first half of 2021, a variety of titles have been made into anime adaptations, including “Hori san to Miyamura kun”, “Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro”, and “To Your Eternity”. Many of upcoming anime titles are based on manga.

Here at Anime! Anime!, we conducted the same survey as in the second half of 2020, “For which manga would you like to see an anime adaptation? (first half of 2021).” We received responses from 295 people during the survey period from June 4 to June 13.
The ratio of males to females was about 30% and 70%, with the majority of females. The age group was mainly young, with about 45% of respondents aged 19 or younger and about 25% in their 20s.

In this article, the result for incomplete manga (currently being serialized) will be covered.

■The title, whose last work gained popularity, occupied the top positions!
1st place went to “SPY×FAMILY”. The support rating was about 7%, and it moved up from 2nd place last year.

This title is a spy action, which is currently serialized in “Shone Jump+”. It depicts a story where men, women, and girls, who have their own secrets, become a camouflaged family, and start a new life. The comments received are, “Each character is very unique, such as a spy, killer, and psychic. I want to see daily life of such a unique family in anime!”, and “Each episode is interesting, and I get enticed by it”.

2nd place
2nd place went to “The Apothecary Diaries”. The support rating was about 5%, and it moved up from 3rd place last year.

This title is a comic based on a mystery novel set in a rear palace of the Middle Ages. The comments received are, “The attractive characters, including the protagonist Maomao, and solving riddles are entertaining, Its drama CD was already released, so I want to see it with moving illustrations!”, and “The protagonist raised in Hanamachi is solving riddles using her knowledge about medicine, which is enjoyable! I like both novel and comic, but I want to see the world of ‘Apothecary’ in anime!”.

Same as last time, its another comic “The Apothecary Diaries: Maomao no Kokyu Nazotoki Techo”, came 4th place.

3rd place
3rd place went to “Detective Conan: Zero’s Tea Time”. Even though it slid to 3rd place from 1st place last time, there was only a narrow margin with 2nd place.

This title follows a private life of Amuro Toru, a popular character from “Detective Conan”. The comments received include, “this title makes my understanding and feelings about Amuro-san, and I like its heartwarming story revolving around Café Poirot!”.

Some reader favored Kazami Yuya, saying “I want to see Kazami-san more in anime!”. The comment shows that the attractive characters are featured in this title.

■Let’s introduce other comments!!
“WIND BREAKER”
“This is a rare manga for recent years, depicting hot bad boys. I want to see battles between the protagonist and others in anime.”
“MURCIELAG”
“The story is mainly about combat, so it would be even more powerful and exhilarating in anime”.

“Shinkuro Hashiru!”
“This is about the life of Hojo Soun based on a new theory, written by Yuki Masami-sensei. I want to see social conditions and everyday life of the people at that time”.
“Senpai wa Otokonoko”
“This is a manga of vertical scroll, and the illustrations are cute! I can get the characters’ feelings, and they become more adorable”.
The readers voted for a variety of titles.

For this incomplete manga section, a variety of titles from Web manga series and comic versions of other media were ranked, while popular works are still predominant.
