From the anime “Chuuka Ichiban!” Season 2, the outline and scenes of Episode 22 “Sabaku no Taiyou” (broadcast from Monday, March 15, 2021) have been released .
“Shin Chuuka Ichiban!” is based on the “Chuuka Ichiban!” series, a Chinese gourmet manga that started in “Weekly Shonen Magazine” in 1995.
It received a TV anime adaptation in 1997 and was broadcast in 80% of the cities in China, along with Hong Kong and Taiwan in 1999. The series has been viewed over 600 million times in total on Chinese streaming services.
Set in 19th century China, Liu Mao Xing and his friends fight against the “Underground Cooking Society” that aims to take over humanity through cooking.
Episode 22 is titled “Sabaku no Taiyou” (The Desert Sun).
Leon fights back with a surprising cooking technique against Mira’s perfect copying skills. And the “Bottomless Man” of Gokosei, “Roushi” Ensei, appears in the kitchen. Meanwhile, Mao and his friends head to Mount Liang, the headquarters of the Cooking Underworld, where they finally face off against the leader of Gokosei, “Nyuunryu” Kaiyu.
