From the TV anime “Re:Zero – Starting Life in Another World” 2nd season 2nd cour, a synopsis and preceding cutscene of episode 42 ‘Kioku no Tabiji (provisional translation)’ have been revealed. It is on air on Wednesday, January 27, 2021.
“Re:Zero – Starting Life in Another World” is based on a light novel written by Nagatsuki Tappei and illustrated by Otsuka Shinichiro.
The protagonist is Natsuki Subaru who suddenly finds himself transported to another world on his way home from the convenience store. Subaru acquires an ability which he calls “Return by Death”, that allows him to go back in time when he dies. The story depicts his facing the severe fate against despair to protect his loved ones.
The subtitle for episode 42 is ‘Kioku no Tabiji (provisional translation)’.
Emilia challenges her 1st training and arrives in Elior Forest where she used to live.
To Echidna making sarcastic remarks, saying ‘How dare you come back after you have shown such a shameful behavior?’, Emilia replies with a fearless laugh, saying ‘I will never give in to the witch’s malice’.
As they go toward, they find a large tree in an open space. At its bottom, there is a small door with a bolt, which is said to be a princess room where Emilia used to play in her childhood.
TV anime “Re:Zero – Starting Life in Another World” 2nd season 2nd cour episode 42 ‘Kioku no Tabiji (provisional translation)’ is on air from 10:30 p.m. on January 27, 2021, on AT-X, TOKYO MX, and other channels.
