Key visuals and 12 additional cast members of the TV anime series “Taiso Samurai”, which will start broadcasting from Oct. 10, have been announced. Also, on Oct. 3, a special program will be broadcast just before the broadcast.

“Taiso Samurai’s” story is set in the Japanese men’s gymnastics world in 2002. It is also attracting attention as the first work in the “NUM Animation” frame, which is TV Asahi’s late-night anime broadcast spot.

The key visual released this time shows 4 people, the main protagonist gymnast, Aragaki Shoutarou (voice: Namikawa Daisuke), Leonardo (voice: Ono Kensho), Shoutarou’s daughter, Rei (voice: Honnizumi Rina), and gymnast, Minamino Tatsuo (voice: Kaji Yuki) in the center, surrounded by various gadgets such as gymnastics equipment, stuffed animals, and mobile phones arranged in the background.

Moreover, a total of 12 people, including Tanaka Atsuko, Mitsuishi Kotono, Yamaguchi Kappei, Yoshino Hiroyuki, and Mizuki Nana, have been announced as additional cast. Also, Hirakawa Daisuke, Ishikawa Kaito, Ono Daisuke, Kawanishi Kengo, Kamiya Hiroshi, Tanaka Minami, Koyama Rikiya, and others will appear.

And on Oct. 3, one week before the anime broadcast, a “special program just before the broadcast” will be shown. This program not only introduces the charm of anime but also explains the appeal of gymnastics in an easy-to-understand manner even for beginners.

The TV anime “Taiso Samurai” will be broadcast from Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020, at 1:30 pm on the TV Asahi “NUM Animation” frame.
