The high-quality streaming service “mora qualitas” has announced “March 2020 Monthly Ranking Top 10” by song and artist. The lineup includes songs familiar to anime fans, and we will pick up and introduce songs and artists related to anime in this article.

Utada Hikaru's “Sakura Nagashi” ranked 1st by song. It was released in 2012 and was the first single since the fallow period.

It was written for the theme song of the third work of “Rebuild of Evangelion”, “Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo.” and became a hot topic. She said on Twitter that she produced the song in response to a request by Anno Hideaki, saying, “I want you to sing songs about what you think and how to feel right now, not in line with how the movie goes.” She also took care of the theme song, “Beautiful World” for the first and second works of “Rebuild of Evangelion”.
It ranked first maybe because of the cherry blossom season or because the final arc, “Evangelion: 3.0+1.0”, is about to be released in Jun. 2020.

Also, Suzuki Masayuki's “Tatoe Sekai ga Soppo Muitemo” ranked in the 7th place. Oishi Masayoshi, who did the songwriting, is a hitmaker who has produced many anime theme songs such as “Ace of Diamond”, “Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun”, and “Kemono Friends”.

Suzuki Masayuki, also known as the “King of love songs,” first took care of the anime theme song for the TV anime, “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War”. Furthermore, he will be in charge of the opening theme song, “DADDY! DADDY! DO! Feat. Suzuki Airi” for the second season of it again, which will be broadcast in April.

“From The Seeds” by Kamishiraishi Mone, ranked 8th, is the opening theme song for the second season of the NETFLIX original anime series, “7SEEDS”. She has been active as an actress and as a singer, and was previously in charge of the ending theme song for the 3rd series of the TV anime, “Circle of Reincarnation”.

She also appeared in the movies “Chihayafuru” and “Kimi no Na wa.” as an actress, which could make her well known in the anime industry as well.

In the ranking by artist, King Gnu, Matsutoya Yumi, Nogizaka46, Little Glee Monster, and others were listed. King Gnu took care of the ending theme song, “Prayer X” of “BANANA FISH”, and Matsutoya Yumi took care of the theme songs for the Ghibli movies such as “Kiki's Delivery Service” and “The Wind Rises”.
Nogizaka46 and Little Glee Monster have also been in charge of theme songs for various anime works, and become a hot topic.

Looking back at this ranking, it has become clear that many artists related to anime were ranked without even focusing on the anisong genre.
