Celebrating your favorite character's birthday has become a common way of showing your affection. You have probably seen parties with cakes surrounded by character goods and celebration illustrations in several social media.
Here at Anime! Anime! we had a survey asking "Which November born character did you celebrate the birthday of??" We received 151 votes during the period of Dec. 1 to Dec. 3.
There were more woman respondents with the male-female ratio being around; 15% male, 85% female. The age group was on the younger side with roughly 35% of the vote being under 19 and 30% being in their 20s.
■Ginoza Nobuchika from "Psyco-Pass" was at the top
Taking 1st place was Ginoza Nobuchika from "Psyco-Pass", receiving about 28% of the vote.
Ginoza Nobuchika was born on Nov. 21. He is a popular character from "Psyco-Pass" since the first season. In the currently airing third season, he is no longer an officer of the public security bureau. He investigates overseas crimes at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Coming in 2nd place was Katsuri Yuuri from "Yuri!!! on ICE" with 9% of the vote.
Katsuri Yuuri was born on Nov. 29. He is a top-class figure skater and the TV series depicted his hard work after re-thinking his retirement. This result shows how much anticipation the fans have for the movie which was originally scheduled for this year but delayed its release.
Sakuma Rei from "Ensemble Stars!" and Roronoa Zoro from "One Piece" tied for 3rd place with 4% of the vote.
Sakuma Rei was born on Nov. 2. He is the leader of UNDEAD with a unique weakness, sunlight.
Zoro was born on Nov. 11. He is a crew of the Straw Hat Pirates and his birthday is a zorome (a Japanese word for repetitive numbers) just like his name.
The results ended up with many characters with birthdays easy to remember. Characters with birthdays such as Nov. 11 (Zoro in 3rd place, Momo from "Idolish7" tied for 5th place, and Emiya Kiritsugu from "Fate/Zero") tied for 8th place) and Nov. 1 (Hoshizora Rin from "Love Live!" tied for 5th place, Kuji Tooi from "Sarazanmai" tied for 8th place) made it on the list.
