Disney and Pixar movies “Onward” and “Soul” were nominated for the best-animated feature film of the “78th Golden Globe Award”.

“Onward” was handled by the director Dan Scanlon, known as the scriptwriter of “Cars” and “Toy Story 3”, and it is a Disney & Pixar movie that was released on August 21, 2020.
The story takes place in a world where magic has disappeared. It is a story about the adventure of the pessimistic young boy Ian and his older brother, Barley that is full of curiosity, trying to regain magic so that Ian could meet his late father, who passed away before his birth.

The director Dan Scanlon revealed “This story was inspired by my relationship between me and my older brother as well as the bond between my late father, who passed away when I was 1 year old, and us” and he also reviewed back, saying “To us, our father is a mystery as the tape that was sent to us by our relative only contains my father voice of ‘hello’ and ‘goodbye’. Just only that two lines. However, to use, it was like a magic and this has become the starting point”.

He also mentioned, “Everyone will experience parting with their beloved, and if they were given a chance to spend another single day with them… it will surely be something exciting. If I want to transmit that story, the setting of the movie has to be in a world, where that excellent chance is achievable.”

Then, the music composer of the movie, the brothers Mychael Danna and Jeff Danna, who are lost their father at a young age, commented, “To the music composer, we have to understand the feelings of the characters and reflect it based on our own experience, which makes it impossible for us to not be emotional. There are times when we experience difficulties, but there is no problem with this movie and it was easy to be absorbed into the movie.”

“Onward” is currently available on MovieNEX and digital subscriptions.

The latest movie of Disney and Pixar “Soul” was also nominated for the same award. The breath-taking beautiful animation and the emotional story and music was also nominated for the best music award.

The comments from the director Pete Docter, scriptwriter Kemp Powers, and producer Dana Murray of “Soul” are “The cast member and crew, who poured all their efforts in the movie, are quite talented and we would like to share this nomination with them”. They also shared happily, “We are glad that all the audiences from a child to an adult worldwide enjoyed the movie, and despite the various hurdles last year, we hope that everyone can felt that there are various “glamor” of life just by witnessing a part of this complex yet beautiful everyday through the journey of Joe Gardner”.

“Soul” is being exclusively distributed by Disney’s official video service Disney+.
