To commemorate the third anniversary of the opening of “NARUTO x BORUTO Fuji Konohagakure no Sato” at Fujikyu Highland (Fujiyoshida City, Yamanashi) in July 2022, a new anniversary project has been launched to release illustrations of eight popular characters from “NARUTO” in stages. As the first phase, a visual of Uchiha Itachi and Uchiha Sasuke drawn in a cool retro-modern style was released on June 9, which is Uchiha Itachi’s birthday.

“Naruto” is a battle action series centered on Uzumaki Naruto, a dropout ninja who grew up in the ninja village called “Konohagakure no Sato”, and depicts his growth with his friends. It was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (published by Shueisha) until 2014 and has sold more than 153 million copies in Japan. The series is popular not only in Japan but also overseas, with more than 46 countries and regions in circulation and more than 97 million copies of the original comics sold overseas.

Also, “BORUTO -NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS-” is a spin-off of “NARUTO” serialized in “V Jump” (published by Shueisha). The story is set in the modernized “Konohagakure no Sato” with Boruto, the son of Uzumaki Naruto, who became the “Hokage,” the leader of the village, as the main character. The anime has been airing on TV Tokyo since 2017.

This time, an original illustration commemorating the third anniversary of “NARUTO x BORUTO Fuji Konohagakure no Sato” has been released. The cool finish of the illustration is sure to tickle fans’ fancy with its chic fur and leather outfits and appearances. The red string seen on Itachi in Western clothing and Sasuke in Japanese clothing share expresses the strong bond between the brothers.

Also, “Uchiha’s Summer 2022,” an annual event commemorating Uchiha Sasuke’s birthday (July 23), will be held from July 9 to September 11. During this period, “Ramen Ichiraku,” a restaurant in the village, will serve “Uchiha Itachi Kaleidoscope Sharingan ‘Tsukuyomi’ Infinitely Spicy Ramen,” which is rich and infinitely spicy, inspired by the Itachi’s Dojutsu “Tsukiyomi,” and “Yakitori Q” will serve”Sasuke’s Big Spicy Chidori Skewer,” which is like an electric shock and gives you an addictive sensation inspired by the Sasuke’s ninja technique “Chidori.” We hope you will enjoy the Uchiha brothers’ special ninjutsu as much as we do.

In addition, “Uchiha’s Summer Special Mission! Science Ninja Tool Rally” using modern scientific ninja tools (smartphones) has been held, related to the anime “BORUTO -NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS-“, which is being aired currently. Visitors who successfully complete the mission will receive a coaster (limited quantity) with a newly-drawn illustration as a reward.

Moreover, to commemorate the birthday of the popular character “Mitsuki” (July 25), the first 500 visitors to the “souvenir shop” on or after the day of the mission who give a password will receive a Mitsuki’s original birthday sticker.
