From “Mobile Suit Gundam: the Witch from Mercury,” a Japanese sweet featuring a three-dimensional Gundam Aerial and a “Manmaru-yaki” (a type of Japanese sweet) with an original design sticker will be available at Seven-Eleven stores nationwide starting November 12, 2022.
“Mobile Suit Gundam: the Witch from Mercury” is the latest TV animation of the Gundam series after a seven-year absence.
Set in “A.S. (Ad Stella) 122,” an era in which numerous corporations have advanced into space and established a huge economic zone, the story begins when a girl named Suletta Mercury from the remote planet of Mercury is accepted into the pilot course at Asticassia School of Technology, which is run by the Benerit Group, the largest mobile suit manufacturer.
The “Edible Mobile Suit Gundam: the Witch from Mercury Gundam Aerial” uses 3D modeling technology. This allows the complex modeling of the Gundam Aerial, from the blade antenna to the chin, to be reproduced in an original deformation unique to Japanese confectionery. The bean paste inside is custard flavored. It is a Japanese confectionery that is like an “edible mobile suit”.
“Mobile Suit Gundam: the Witch from Mercury Manmaru Yaki” is a chilled sweet with a sticky texture and a brand on it of a mobile suit with newly drawn designs. There are four types : “Gundam Aerial,” “Darilbalde,” “Gundam Pharact,” and “Mikailis” and the dough is filled with custard-flavored cream.
All of the extra stickers, which are included at random, are newly-drawn designs. There are a total of 10 stickers, including 5 types of Mobile Suit stickers (including Gundam Aerial) and 5 types of character stickers. You will have to wait until you open the bag to see which sticker you will find.
Both the items will be on sale simultaneously at Seven-Eleven stores nationwide from November 12, 2022.
