Jujutsu Kaisen, a dark fantasy comic that has been adapted into an anime, will reach 70 million copies in circulation with its latest 20th Volume. The release date is August 4.
Jujutsu Kaisen is a dark fantasy comic by Gege Akutami serialized in ‘Weekly Shonen Jump’. The story depicts the battles of “sorcerers” and the “curse” that arises from dark human emotions.
The first season of the TV anime was aired from October 2020 to March 2021, and the prequel “Jutsu Kaisen 0: The Movie” was released in December 2021, recording 13.8 billion yen at the box office. The second season of the TV anime is scheduled to be broadcast in 2023.
It has been revealed that the series’ total number of copies is to reach 70 million (digital editions included) with the release of the latest volume 20 and the repeated reprints combined.
The cover of the 20th volume features Ryu Ishigori, a player in the Culling Game who makes his first appearance in this volume. The story also features the deadly battle between Megumi Fushiguro and Reggie, as well as the intense battle between Yuta Okkotsu and a former sorcerer.
The 20th volume of Jujutsu Kaisen is priced at 484 JPY (tax included), and the release date is August 4.
