July 31 is a Beach day.

It is an anniversary established to spread the importance of beaches, which comes from the words play of “Na (7) Mi (3) Ga Ii (1)” (Lit. “Waves are good”).
The blue sky is indispensable for sunbathing on the beach. The beauty of the clear blue color is fascinating.

Many characters with blue as the image color have been appearing in anime and games. Among all of them, which character is attracting the most readers of Anime!Anime!?

Therefore, this time, we conducted a reader survey entitled “Speaking about characters whose image color is blue, who comes to your mind first?” We received responses from 278 people during the survey period from July 14 to July 21.
The male-female ratio is about 30% for males and about 70% for females. About 60% of the age group were teens, and about 25% were in their 20s.

1st place

1st place goes to Aomine Daiki from “Kuroko’s Basketball” with an approval rating of about 12%.

Aomine Daiki is a member of the “Generation of Miracles”. Readers commented, “Needless to say, he is in charge of the blue color of ‘Generation of Miracles’. He is so powerful that no one can compare him in basketball. He’s a confident man who boasted, ‘I’m the only one who can beat myself’, but he also has a blue heart to suffer from being too strong.”, and “He has ‘blue’ (‘Ao’ is ‘blue’ in Japanese) in his name and in his hair, so he comes to my mind immediately. Each of ‘Generation of Miracles’ has an assigned color, so it is easy to remember.”

2nd place goes to Matsuno Karamatsu from “Mr. Osomatsu” with an approval rating of about 8%.

Karamatsu is the second son of the Matsuno family of six children. Readers pointed on narcissistic personality which matches blue color so well”, “Speaking of blue, it is Karamatsu! Even if it hurts, blue suits him the best”, “Because blue hoodies look great on him”, and “As long as he is quiet, he looks the coolest among the 6 siblings, which matches the image of blue!”

3rd place

3rd place is shared between Izumi Iori from “Idolish Seven”, Sonoda Umi from “Love Live!”, and Doraemon from “Doraemon”.

For Izumi Iori, “All characters of ‘Idolish 7’ have their own colors and it is so cool! Among them, blue suits Iori because of his calm personality.”
For Sonoda Umi, “When it is about blue as a color image, only Umi-chan comes to my mind. Her name also suits summer and feels refreshing.”

For Doraemon, “A national character that everyone knows. The episode that originally he had a yellow body, but the it turned blue is also great.”
