In commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the TV anime series ‘Mobile Suit GUNDAM SEED’, the new project ‘GUNDAM SEED PROJECT ignited’ launches.

‘GUNDAM SEED PROJECT ignited’ is an international experimental project within the ‘Mobile Suit GUNDAM SEED’ series, and it mainly focuses on the creation of a sequel film to the TV series.

The project this time plans to include the ‘Life-size Freedom Gundam Statue’ at LaLaport SHANGHAI JINQIAO in China where the opening ceremony is held on May 28th, China’s first large-scale Gundam event ‘GUNDAM docks at Shanghai’ that starts on the same day, the development of a new video game from the ‘Mobile Suit GUNDAM SEED’ series, and the release of a GUNDAM Plastic Model and comic serialization of the official side story MSV ‘Mobile Suit GUNDAM SEED ECLIPSE’.

The film is in progress directed by Mitsuo Fukuda. More details including the release date will be announced later.
The opening ceremony for the ‘Life-size Freedom Gundam Statue’ will be streamed on May 31st at 12:00 JST, on the YouTube channels ‘Gundam Channel’ for fans in Japan and ‘Gundaminfo Ch.’ for fans overseas.
