SKY Perfect TV!, a digital satellite broadcast channel, surveyed ‘The Best Anime Titles to Watch during the Golden Week Holidays’ and released the result in a report ‘How People Spend the Golden Week Holidays 2021’.
According to the survey, in which 2,000 people from all over Japan answered, ‘Detective Conan’ won first place followed by ‘Demon Slayer’ and ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’.
The top 5 are the 1st ‘Detective Conan’ (129 votes), the 2nd ‘Demon Slayer’ (118 votes), the 3rd ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ (75 votes), the 4th ‘Doraemon’ (55 votes), and the 5th ‘ONE PIECE’ (54 votes). ‘Attack on Titan’, ‘My Hero Academia’, ‘Neon Genesis Evangelion’, ‘Sazae-san’, and ‘Crayon Shin-chan’ also ranked in the top 10.
The top 3 by gender include ‘Demon Slayer’, ‘ONE PIECE’, and ‘Detective Conan’ voted by men, and ‘Detective Conan’, ‘Demon Slayer’, and ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ voted by women.
The top 10 voted by men also includes ‘Mobile Suit Gundam’, ‘Pokemon’, and ‘That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime’, and the top 3 voted by women was not different from the total rankings.
Also, rankings by age group show that ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ for respondents in their 10’s, ‘Demon Slayer’ for 20’s, 30’s, and 50’s, and ‘Detective Conan’ for 40’s and 60’s ranked the 1st places.
The numbers show the popularity of ‘Detective Conan’, a long-running, national favorite anime in which the movie is popular in theaters as well, and ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ and ‘Demon Slayer’, which are newer hit anime titles.
