The release of the anime movie “Pompo: The Cinéphile” has been delayed to spring 2021.
“Pompo: The Cinéphile” is based on a popular Web manga in the Social Network System by Sugitani Shougo that was first released on the illustration/ manga uploading website, pixiv on Apr. 2017. It is a movie production story that stared when the talented movie director, Pompo was given the role of director for a certain movie from her assistant Gene.
The director of this movie is Hirao Takayuki (known for “the Garden of sinners Chapter 5: Paradox Paradigm” and “GOD EATER”) while the character design is handled by Adachi Shingo (known for “WORKING!!” and “Sword Art Online”). The partnership between these two popular creators has become a hot topic on the internet.
This movie was originally scheduled on 2020 but due to certain circumstances, it will be delayed until spring 2021. The exact release date will be announced on the official homepage once it has been decided.
The production committee had announced, “We would like to apologize to everyone who is looking for the movie. We hope for your understanding and patience regarding this matter. We also hope that you could continue your support for this work”.
Also, the 2nd spin-off manga of the original work “Eiga Daisuki Kana-chan” is on sale now and the price is 980 JPY (tax excluded).
