E-book store 「BOOK☆WALKER」 has announced the result of the hottest new work chosen by light novel enthusiast nationwide in “This One is the Next Hit! New Light Novel Popularity Contest 2019.”
In the Bunko (paperback book) section “I Was Kicked out of the Hero’s Party Because I Wasn’t a True Companion so I Decided to Have a Slow Life at the Frontier”, in the books section “To Be a Power in the Shadows!” Won first place.
“This One is the Next Hit! New Light Novel Popularity Contest” is an attempt to find out which new light novel that is going to be popular, based on the readers’ opinion who purchase light novels every month in 「BOOK☆WALKER」.
From this third year, the books section is not only targeting paperback-sized novels but also the separate volume sized books also. From June 28 they received votes for about a month and gathered 26,000 votes from light novel readers across the country.
■Bunkobon section
In the bunko section, depicting a hero who is kicked out but rewarded in the second life “I Was Kicked out of the Hero’s Party Because I Wasn’t a True Companion so I Decided to Have a Slow Life at the Frontier” won first place.
In the second place, here is this light novel about a blonde-haired yandere loli, “Nishino ~ The Boy At The Bottom Of The School Caste And Also At The Top Of The Underground~”,the next one depicting a young prince who bears the weight of a weak country, “The Genius Prince’s Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt (Hey, How About Treason?)” ranked the third place.
