“ROBOT Damashii,” a colored action figures brand, announced the sales of “RX-93ff vGundam,” a life-size v Gundam stand-up figure, at “GUNDAM SIDE-F” in May 2022.
The “Gundam” series is a series of video works produced by Sunrise Inc. for more than 40 years since the TV animation “Mobile Suit Gundam” began airing in 1979. This popular series has developed a wide range of products and services such as plastic models, console games, content networks, and video and music packages.
Gunpla, or Gundam plastic models, are one of the major products of Gundam that began its sales in 1980. Since then, it has become so popular that its accumulative shipping quantity of Gunpla Real Series and SD Series surpassed 700 million items by end-March 2021. Today, its market share has expanded overseas, mostly in Asia but also in Northern America and Europe.
The latest TV anime of the Gundam series titled “Mobile Suit Gundam: the Witch from Mercury” will be broadcasted on 28 MBS/TBS channels every Sunday at 5 PM from October 2022.
This product, “ROBOT Damashii RX-93ff,” has sculpted the life-size v Gundam stand-up figure, “RX-93ff vGundam,” which is the 7th “life-size Gundam” in history.
It has replicated the new feature of Gundam called the “long-range Fin Funnel,” equipped with a deployment gimmick that could be attached to the backpack and the arms.
Moreover, the width of the movable range enables the dynamic posing of the item that brings the demonstration of the stand-up figure to mind.
“ROBOT Damashii RX-93ff vGundam” will start its sales at “GUNDAM SIDE-F” in May 2022 at the price of 5,500 yen (tax included). They will also be sold on the official online shopping website of Bandai Namco Group and overseas.
